Aerosmith are just nine days into their final tour, but they have to take a month off from the road because of Steven Tyler.
“I’M HEARTBROKEN TO SAY I HAVE RECEIVED STRICT DOCTOR’S ORDERS NOT TO SING FOR THE NEXT THIRTY DAYS,” the singer wrote. “I SUSTAINED VOCAL CORD DAMAGE DURING SATURDAY’S SHOW THAT LED TO SUBSEQUENT BLEEDING. WE’LL NEED TO POSTPONE A FEW DATES SO THAT WE CAN COME BACK AND GIVE YOU THE PERFORMANCE YOU DESERVE.”
The band will play the postponed six September dates in February, and then they will go silent.
Hopefully, the 75-year-old’s vocal cords will be back to normal by their next date on October 11th because he has a voice we cannot lose. It is definitely one of a kind.
