Nia Vardalos has been ready to film My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3 for a while in Greece, but she has been dealing with pandemic problems. Along with all of that, her movie dad Michael Constantine passed away on August 31st at the age of 94.
Yesterday, she reunited with her movie family cousin Nikki (Gia Carides), brother Nick (Louis Mandylor), and mom (Lainie Kazan) to remember Constantine. Because not only are they a family in front of the camera, but they are one when the cameras aren’t rolling.
When the cameras start rolling again, they will be missing a family member. And not even Windex can fix that. Vardalos talked about that and said Constantine “had told me he wouldn’t be able to join us for the third film and his wish was that we go on. I wrote the screenplay to reflect Michael’s decision and will always treasure his last messages to me, hoping we were filming soon.”
Hopefully, we will get COVID-19 under control soon so she can make the film. We need more warm family family-loving films in theaters, especially now.
