Val Kilmer has spent the last 40 years in front of the camera, but there has been a top secret project he has been working on since Top Secret. The actor has been shooting a documentary about his life, and Amazon Studios will release it later this year.
Val Kilmer said, “At least once a day for years I looked around and got this bittersweet feeling that there are a thousand reasons that this project could’ve been shipwrecked. I mean, what could a film look like of a man filming himself, sometimes daily, years at a time? It is unimaginable that this movie actually could’ve ever come to light without the partnership of my dear friends, Leo [Scott] and Ting [Poo], and my producing partners. Tireless hours of editing and endless emotions with each new cut! I couldn’t be more proud to share this with the world!”
It will cover the good times and the bad ones. It is an intimate look at an actor that has been misunderstood through his career. So much will be explained, and we will learn about the man that has played such iconic characters like Batman.
I, for one, have been a long-time fan and cannot wait to learn more about this man whose posters I had hanging from my wall.
