In case you haven’t heard, Cynthia Erivo is playing Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West, in the spectacular movie musical Wicked, which comes out on Friday! And if you didn’t know, Elphaba is green.
Over the last few months, Universal has been doing a media blitz for the film, which feels like an old-school event in so many different ways.
Today, in my opinion, the most brilliant promotion for the feature was revealed. Cynthia Erivo took the Yellow Brick Road to Sesame Street and sang It’s Not Easy Bein’ Green with Oscar the Grouch! And he even had to smile when he heard her angelic voice sing the updated lyrics to Kermit the Frogs song!
Yesterday, NBC announced that Suits LA will premiere on February 23rd. Today, Gabriel Macht shared a video of himself suiting up to play Harvey Specter again on the USA Network spinoff.
Macht wrote, “When an old friend is in need…it’s time to take care of things and make those very ‘things’ right.”
According to Deadline, he will be making things right for at least three episodes. Hopefully, they will keep around longer than that! I miss Harvey Speceter’s charm!
Here is a description of the legal drama. Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor from New York, has reinvented himself representing the most powerful clients in Los Angeles. His firm is at a crisis point, and in order to survive, he must embrace a role he held in contempt his entire career. Ted is surrounded by a stellar group of characters who test their loyalties to both Ted and each other while they can’t help but mix their personal and professional lives. All of this is going on while we slowly unravel the events that years ago led Ted to leave behind everything and everyone he loved.
