Tickets for a pop concert to mark the 10th anniversary of Princess Diana’s death sold out in minutes on Wednesday, organizers said. The concert, organized by Diana’s sons Princes Harry and William, will take place at the new Wembley stadium in London next July and feature acts including Elton John, Duran Duran and Pharrell Williams. "The initial allocation of tickets has now been sold and we hope more tickets will be available at a later date," said a spokeswoman for the princes. She added that around 22,500 tickets were sold in 20 minutes on Wednesday, and that the capacity for the event was likely to be about 60,000. More tickets may go on sale at a later date via the concert’s Web site www.concertfordiana.com. The face value of tickets is 45 pounds ($89) each, although they attracted bids of up to 500 pounds each on the online auction site www.ebay.co.uk early on Wednesday. EBay, which has been criticized in the past when tickets to charity concerts have appeared on its site, later promised to remove them as soon as possible "as a mark of respect for the memory of the late Diana." There is speculation that John may repeat his performance of the modified version of "Candle In the Wind" which he sang at Diana’s funeral in 1997. He had vowed he would never play it again unless asked by the princes. The record went on to become the fastest selling single of all time and the proceeds went to charity. As well as the concert, there will be a church memorial service for Diana, who died in a car crash in Paris on August 31, 1997.

Wow, that is just amazing! And what I love is that the tickets were reasonably priced…taked that Babs and other ripoff artists.

Pete Doherty is the luckiest law breaker |

Troubled rocker Pete Doherty will escape a fine, despite breaking anti-smoking laws by lighting a cigarette during a performance in Scotland. The Babyshamles frontman broke laws banning smoking in public places at the Ironworks venue in Inverness. But authorities have issued him a warning instead of a £50 (€74.31) fine – angering anti-smoking campaigners who insist he has been spared because he is a celebrity. Politician Stewart Maxwell said: "If taxi drivers can be fined for smoking, then the idea that celebrities can get away with it is outrageous."

Seriously why are they so afraid of him giving him jail time or fining him?

An engaging Grey’s Anatomy spoiler? |

Question: I heard that someone on Grey’s will get pregnant. Would you happen to know who?— Katie
Ausiello: Not sure about that, but I can tell you who’s getting engaged: George and Callie! Although no one within six degrees of Shonda Rhimes would confirm it (shocker!), one well-placed mole tells me that they’ll make the announcement during February sweeps. Now, why do you suppose George and Callie — who were still broken up in the last episode — would rush into marriage so quickly? Hmmm….
Ask Ausiello (check out Ask Ausiello for some other cool spoilers like OTH’s 5th season)
I bet you it has something to do with his dad and not Callie being pregnant? What do you think?

Larry Birkhead will finally have his day in court |
December 12th, 2006 under Anna Nicole Smith. [ Comments: none ]

Reality TV star Anna Nicole Smith’s ex-boyfriend’s paternity suit will go forward, now that a judge has denied Smith’s request for a delay in the proceedings. Judge Robert A. Schnider will rule Wednesday on photojournalist Larry Birkhead’s request for a paternity test on Smith’s daughter, 3-month-old Dannielynn Hope Marshall Stern. The hearing will take place at 11:30 a.m. ET in Los Angeles Superior Court, and Birkhead and his attorney Debra Opri will be present. In October, Birkhead filed a second lawsuit against the former Playboy Playmate, this time alleging fraud and conspiracy. He had earlier filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles seeking a court order to demand Smith, who is currently living in the Bahamas, bring the baby to California for a paternity test. In the second lawsuit, Birkhead alleges Smith provided fraudulent information when applying for her daughter’s birth certificate in the Bahamas. Smith identified her current boyfriend and lawyer, Howard K. Stern, as the father. The lawsuit asks that Stern’s name be deleted from the girl’s birth certificate and replaced with Birkhead’s. "I am the father of Dannielynn and I think this is … a crime," Birkhead said in October. "I expect to be reunited with my daughter with the help of my attorneys."

I hope the Judge grants the paternity test and they finally prove he is the father of the baby so he can get custody!
