MTV has picked up Real World for 4 more season bring the total to 26 cycles according The Hollywood Reporter. Dang this show will keep going and going. I seriously thought they said they were the ending the show, I guess I read it wrong.
BTW is anyone still watching this show? I gave it up a long time ago.

The reason Real World went all to hell is because the producers thought it would be better with tons of fights and constant fighting. But what made the early Real World so great was that the relationships actually developed along the way and they were fun to watch. Now it’s just a bunch of girls that all hate each other and are jealous of each other so much they can’t stand it, and a bunch of guys that are either gay and fighting their cause, or clueless pieces of meat that want to puff up their chest every episode. Go back to STORY TELLING.
Whoever is picking the casts now needs to be fired and shot pronto. They pick all people they KNOW are going to explode in anger, millions of people watch that and think, see, it’s common to be like that, nothing wrong with that.
The current “RW: Brooklyn” season is actually very good. There’s very little fighting and they went deep into the life of some post-op transvestite (I would make fun of this person, but now I have SOME respect). Another guy is a veteran from the Iraq war and we get to see how his life has been affected. Seriously, it’s good.

I didn’t even know enough people still watched the show for it to go on “4 more” seasons, lol.
The producers, Ironically enough, in an effort to keep “US” watching have veered too far left of the original concept.
The show as it stands now is pretty much “a parody of it’s former self”.
sorry no, it’s not watched anymore. Same personality types, same situations, same token gay person, etc: different city. It’s ran it’s course several years ago.

I stopped watching it as well, but I decided to give Hollywood a try last season and it was glorious. It wasn’t dumb whore overload, and Greg was a genius. This season it seems they’ve decided to go the old school path you’re talking about (think Seattle), and the stories are actually, dare I say, moving. Chet is absolutely hilarious, but Ryan keeps me watching. He’s a 20-something Iraq War vet, and he gets called back to active duty on the show ON Veteran’s Day right after he marches in a Veteran’s Parade in the city and celebrates being back home. It is really infuriating to watch, but definitely not the trash of past seasons. Other than that, the girls are pretty boring, but at least MTV chose people with brains this time.
