When Dexter ended its run in 2013, fans of the show were pissed about how the producers wrapped up the series. You can say they wanted to go all Dexter on them. Well, now, 7 years later, they are finally getting some killer news. The killer will be back for a ten-episode limited run next fall.
“DEXTER is such a special series, both for its millions of fans and for SHOWTIME, as this breakthrough show helped put our network on the map many years ago,” said Gary Levine, Presidents of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc. “We would only revisit this unique character if we could find a creative take that was truly worthy of the brilliant, original series. Well, I am happy to report that Clyde Phillips and Michael C. Hall have found it, and we can’t wait to shoot it and show it to the world!”
What they are going to show us, we don’t know. But anything has to be better than how it ended. Although, I never should assume because it could wind up being worse. I doubt it, but it could.
