There have been plenty of great episodes from The X-Files throughout its run and tonight’s is my second favorite one. The episode starts out with a wild black and white story from the past and it gets wilder from there. So wild, you can tell that David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson just had a huge blast filming it. They let go like they never before.
In their first interaction together, Mulder tells Scully that he spent the day Sasquatching. Then he wants to tell her story and she hangs up on him when he starts to tell it.
The two agents have a date that night. When he goes to meet her, he is approached by a stranger who seems to know him really well. He brings up something about Fox’s past that barely anyone would know and the guy tells him it never existed. Mulder doesn’t believe him until he can’t find any proof of it.
He tells Scully about the mysterious stranger, and the next night she runs into him too. He gives her something from her past that she has been looking for for years.
How does this guy know them so well? What is his connection to them? Something you have to see to believe. You know because the truth is out there. And this episode is all about the Mandela Effect and our agents finally learning the truth about everything. All I will say is Trump plays a part in it. How? Again, you have to watch it at 8p on Fox because this is the episode where Duchovny and Anderson had the most fun they have had with the series and it shows.
