Vanessa Hudgens‘ father passed away after a battling cancer for just a few months yesterday. The actress broke the news on Twitter this morning, “I am so sad to say that last night my daddy, Greg passed away from stage 4 cancer. Thank you to everyone who kept him in your prayers.” Then she added, “Tonight, I do the show in his honor.” The show she is talking about is Grease: Live tonight at 7p on Fox.
I admire her courage for taking the stance, the show must go on. I don’t think I could do it.
But there is something about performing and the adrenaline taking over that makes even the impossible, possible.
So tonight I will have her in my thoughts and prayers as I watch her kill it as Rizzo.
