It has been a third of a century since The Boomtown Rats released an album, but that is not stopping them from releasing new music.
Bob Geldof told Daily Mirror, “We’ve done 26 tracks. We’re mixing them now, I’ve done the vocals on them. We’re getting really excited, we think they’re great.” No word when the 26 tracks will be released, but the singer told the paper that he is planning on releasing 4 tracks every few months, “which allows us to space out the music but also do different things.”
A lot has changed in music since 1984, and I am sure their fans will embrace their new tunes. Just like they have been enjoying seeing them at festivals over the last few years.
