The actor plays a man with neurofibromatosis that causes tumors to grow on his body, including his face. His character will undergo facial reconstructive surgery, and he will become infatuated with the actor who is starring as him in the bioplay.
I am assuming from this one photo that he is going to get an Oscar nomination for his performance in this Indie pic. You know how the voters love someone who is willing to be covered in prosthetics and get ugly for a role like Nicole Kidman and Charlize Theron?
Like them, Stan has the chops to pull it off. I have been saying that since I saw him in Political Animals.
