Sacha Baron Cohen received three Golden Globe nominations today. Two for acting in The Trial of the Chicago Seven and Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, and the third for producing the latter moviefilm.
Like most nominees, he released a statement. However, his, like him, is unlike the others. “I’m shocked and humbled to be nominated for 3 Golden Globes, and congratulations to the incredible @mariabakalovaofficial too! We’re so honoured,” he wrote. “And just in case we don’t win any, I’ve already hired Rudy Giuliani to contest the results.”
I have a feeling that Giuliani would be excited to do it. As excited as he was in the moviefilm.
To see if Borat needs Donald Trump’s lawyer’s help, tune into NBC for the awards show on February 28th. They will once again be hosted by Amy Poehler and Tina Frey.
