The third season of Steven Seagal: Lawman was too hot for television until tonight. That is because Reelz is going to air the unseen episode starting tonight at 10p.
We all know Steven Seagal is an actor and a trained martial artist, but did you know he has also been a cop for 20 years too? This season he suits up for America’s Toughest Sheriff, Joe Arpaio the six-term Sheriff from Maricopa County, Arizona, and it is not going to be easy. Each week he will learn from the team of cops he is working with and they will learn from him. In one episode he will teach them how to act, a talent they will actually need to know when trying to get a suspect to come out of their house. In another episode, they bring in tanks to get their man. But the one that blew me away was when they work with the animal division to bust someone who has been training roosters for cock fighting. You will go behind the scenes and see what happens to the animals after they are rescued and find out what happens before the police intervene. It is more horrible than you think.
On tonight’s season premiere at 10p, the team try to bust a drug dealer by selling him some of the pot that they have in house that has been confiscated, and as they are making the deal the criminals steal the truck with the drugs. Now the team has to find the stolen truck and drugs before it is too late. Seagal will explain to you the process of how they are going to find their guys and it is really interesting.
Then at 10:30p, the team is ready to find and arrest the suspect who ran over and dragged fellow deputy, and then fled the scene. The officer survived and shares his story with them, and once they hear it they are more determined to bust this guy. Watch what they will do to get their man and what happens when they do catch up with him.
I am not really a fan of Steven Seagal and cops shows, but I love Steven Seagal: Lawman. I think it is more interesting because you get Seagal’s point of view of what is going down and you know him from his movies. But what I also appreciate is the way it is shot, it is more like you are watching a show than someone’s dash cam. If that makes sense.
So if you really want to see how hard it is to be a cop, then tune in for Steven Seagal’s Lawman tonight and every Thursday at 10p for an interesting perspective on one of the toughest jobs in the world.
