Just in time for Passover,
Raising Hope is giving the Jewish People a new song to sing at Bar Mitzvahs, weddings, Brises, family reunions, Temple and in the shower. This new Jew tune is called Rock the Torah and all I can say is oy! It’s the best song for The Jews since Hava Nagila. Rock the Torah brings the people of the Old Testament in to the second millennium. So much so I hope it is added to the Chabbad Telethon!
So light your Shabbat candles and sing “They’re gonna lift you up high a the chair, while we sing and dance the Horah, you’re going to know every word, you’re going to know all your prayers, you ain’t no shmendrik, you’re gonna rock the torah!”
Who knew John Parr’s St Elmo’s Fire was the great basis for the new Jewish anthem? I am sure he is plotzing over this.
Oh and to find out why Raising Hope gave us this beautiful new song, you will have to watch the season finale this Thursday at 9p after American Idol with Garret Dillahunt, Lucas Neff, Shannon Woodward, Martha Plimpton and Cloris Leachman.
