ABC announced today that it has picked up two (No Ordinary Family and Better with You) of its five news shows for a full season and ordered additional episodes from Detroit 1-8-7 and Brothers and Sisters. No Ordinary Family is the super family drama that everyone in your household can enjoy, so I am glad that they are sticking with it. I know I should like Better with You because it starts the awwwdorable Jennifer Finnigan and JoAnna Garcia, but I just can’t get into it. Maybe now that it has a full season order I will try it again. Detroit 1-8-7 got 5 additional episodes bringing their total to 18. The show films in Detroit and helps the economy in a city that desperately needs it. Brothers and Sisters who started this season out with an 18 episode order got for additional eps bringing their total the regular season order of 22.
My Generation was the second show cancelled this season and The Whole Truth is still waiting to find out its future. But since it wasn’t mentioned today, I think we can assume what it is…
The Whole Truth, Fox’s Running Wilde and NBC’s Undercovers are the only new scripted shows awaiting their fate.
