On January 16th, we lost director David Lynch, and he was laid to rest shortly after that at Hollywood Forever Cemetery.
You cannot have a cemetery in the heart of Hollywood by Paramount and Raleigh Studios, and not have events there, including movie screenings.
So, on May 31st, they will be showing his movie Blue Velvet there, not that far from where he is buried.
And there is no way in hell you could get me to go because you know his ghost will be there watching the movie with his fans.
I know they used to do this all the time on Rudolph Valentino’s birthday, but he passed on a long time ago. Lynch is still newly deceased.
I am not opposed to going to a screening of someone who is buried there, like watching Kolchak with Darren McGavin or Rock’n’Roll High School with Johnny Ramone. But I draw the line with Lynch!
If you are not afraid of him haunting you at the screening, you can get tickets for $29.99.
