Fiery chef Gordon Ramsay had his very own kitchen nightmare when a hapless assistant splashed boiling hot stock in his eye.The accident happened as Ramsay trained a team of amateur cooks for the latest episode of his Channel 4 show The F Word.Luckily for him, the would-be chefs were a group of Accident and Emergency doctors from London’s Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, and they immediately administered some first aid.Emergency specialist registrar Lucy Bingham was the guilty party."I really thought I’d burnt his eye. I thought, ‘That’s it, forget the cooking, we’ve got to take him straight to emergency," she told the Evening Standard."I’d got knocked as I was moving a pan of stock and it fell on to the hob, which is blindingly hot, and it splashed back up at him."I thought, ‘It’s Gordon Ramsay, ace chef, and I’ve blinded him.’ I was really worried."I immediately went into doctor mode and thought, ‘Sod the kitchen’ and rushed over to him. I think he was startled and shocked but thankfully he was fine. I got away without any swearing from him because I think he found it quite amusing how I flipped so quickly into being a doctor."
