[ # ] Get drunk off of the laughter with Sullivan & Son tonight!
June 13th, 2013 under TNT/TBS/TCM

Sullivan & Son is back on TBS tonight at 10p and you want to check out this bar where nobody knows your name, but they sure do know every joke about your race.
On tonight’s season premiere Steve’s (Steve Byrne) sister, Susan (Vivian Bang) asks him to teach her uptight doctor husband (Ken Jeong) to relax and that is a challenge he doesn’t want to accept. Eventually Steve gives in because he has no other choice. After one sip of beer and a piece of pizza, Jason (Jeong) is a changed man. That is something Steve and Susan’s Tiger Mother doesn’t approve of and she will do everything in her power to get her prodigal son-in-law back? Will she succeed or will she have two worthless sons in her life now?
But it isn’t only about them, Melanie (Valerie Azlynn) discovers that the men of the bar don’t know anything about sports. So she decides to teach them a thing or two about the games they pretend they know so much about. As payback they will teach her something that every woman knows, but her.
I have seen three episodes of this season so far, the two TBS sent out and a taping on Tuesday with The Big Bang Theory’s Kunal Nayyar; and I have to say that this show is even funnier and wronger this season.
Steve is still adjusting to life at the bar and being a single ex-lawyer. His dad (Dan Luria) is still a beaten down man, but makes us crack up with his expressions. His mom (Jodi Long) is one tough cookie, that you don’t want to f*ck with. Carol (Christine Ebersole) is still very much a slut and will do any man that comes into the bar. Hank (Brian Doyle-Murray) is still the racist with a heart that steals every scene he is in. Owen (Owen Benjamin) is as naive as ever and that is why you love him as much as his mom, Carol. Well not as much as her because those two have a really weird relationship. Ahmed (Ahmed Ahmed), Roy Wood (Roy Wood Jr.) and Melanie are full of one liners, and they are the type of people you totally want to hang at a dive bar and have a beer with. So why not grab a stool and join them tonight and every Thursday at 10p.
Sullivan & Son is not your warm and fuzzy family sitcom and it is not a smart one that only the elitists like; it is a sitcom with real people at a real place in real situations telling real jokes and because of that it is a real funny show!
