For decades people have been confusing Dermot Mulroney and Dylan McDermott because they look so much alike. The comparison is so well known that it has become a joke.
However, yesterday they came together for a serious cause. They are fighting alongside other actors and writers to get what is fair to them from the studios.
If these two can make a stand side-by-side, then maybe AMPTP will finally come back to the table and negotiate a better contract for everyone.
The longer this goes on, the more it is going to hurt everyone, even those who are not directly involved. I live by four studios, and the whole area is hurting. It is hurting local businesses, other people in the industry, and so on, and we still haven’t fully recovered since the pandemic.
So to the studios, I say, have your CEOs take a pay cut, and let’s get everyone back to work.
Let’s get back to Mulroney and McDermott. Now that Dylan has gone grey, I can finally tell the two of them apart.
