Once again David Cook blew me away this time singing Mariah Carey’s Always Be My Baby! He just knows how to make a song his own even it is cover of a cover! He is the first contestant to really change it up on American Idol and not sacrifice who is he and make it interesting and not boring like Bo Bice.
As you know besides being an amazing performance it was an emotional one. His brother who is battling brain cancer flew out to see his little brother sing on the Idol stage. Crap I cried along with David Cook on that one. It is so good that brother came out and David did not disappoint and the Judges let him how much they love his brother! Way to go David Cook!
Back to Mariah’s Always Be My Baby, I love the original (yes I am a Mariah fan) and I love David Cook’s and I hate remakes.
BTW am I the only that thinks with his new haircut he looks a lot like Barry Watson? And that is a very good thing!!!
