Since 1976 Cathy has graced our newspapers, but on October 3rd she is coming to an end. Cathy Guisewite told
AP even though her decision was excruciating, her “‘creative biological clock’ is ticking and she has other things she wants to pursue.” She did not elaborate what she will be pursuing, but I am sad to see this comic go. When I was kid I loved reading Cathy, and I am sad other kids will not be able to do the same.
Cathy is the second long-time comic strip to end this year, the sun stopped coming out for Little Orphan Annie in June. I hope Cathy is the last one to end for a while because, I don’t know about you but I loved reading comics when I was younger!
