MTV personality Vincent Margera, known as "Uncle Don Vito" on the show Viva La Bam, pleaded not guilty today to charges of fondling three teenage girls at the Colorado Mills mall during an autograph session last summer. Police were called on Aug. 18 after mall security reported that a girl had been sexually assaulted. Margera was charged with three counts of sexual assault for allegedly fondling and groping the girls while signing autographs and having his photo taken with fans at the mall. The alleged victims were ages 13 to 15. Margera will be back in court May 25 and is set for trial August 27 in Jefferson County District Court.

I think he would've been better off pleading no contest because you know they are going to sentence him with real jail time in Colorado?

Reality television’s Vincent "Don Vito" Margera, uncle of "Viva La Bam" star Bam Margera, was ordered Thursday to stand trial on felony charges that he groped three girls at an MTV promotional appearance. During a preliminary hearing, prosecutors presented evidence — including statements from the girls and photos from their camera phones — that Margera, 50, fondled the two 12-year-old girls and the 14-year-old girl, the district attorney’s office said in a statement. The three girls had gone to the mall skate park to get Margera’s autograph and have their picture taken with him, prosecutor Zach Phillips said. Margera was charged with three counts of sexual assault on a child and, if convicted, could face anywhere from probation to six years in prison. He could enter a plea when he is arraigned March 5.

I hope they give him six years, so he can be groped over and over in jail and see if he likes it.

Don Vito, the co-star of MTV’s “Viva La Bam,” will make an appearance at a New Castle bar Friday, less than a week before he appears in a Colorado court to defend himself against sexual assault charges. Vito, whose real name is Vincent Margera, was charged with two felony counts of sexual assault on a child in August for allegedly touching two girls, ages 12 and 14, while signing autographs at a mall in Colorado. The 50-year-old uncle of “Jackass” star Bam Margera was released on $50,000 bond after spending a weekend in jail. He was ordered to have no contact with anyone under the age of 18 and to abstain from drinking alcohol. Local promoter Damon Feldman, organizer of the Gators event, says he doesn’t have any concerns about hosting Vito, who he’s known for two years. He says Vito is innocent. “I know him pretty well," Feldman says. "He’s a real nice guy and he’ll have no problem explaining the situation to people.” Feldman says the Gators event, which is only open to people 21 and older, will be Vito’s final public appearance before going back to Colorado for a pretrial hearing on Oct. 31. The appearance, he says, was booked before Vito’s arrest. Gator’s manager Chuck Burchfield says he hopes Vito will be on his best behavior. “It’s a concern, but it’s too late to do anything about it now,” Burchfield says. Vito, who lives near West Chester, Pa., will sign autographs and take photos with fans Friday night, Feldman says. Vito was scheduled to appear at Kahunaville in Wilmington last month, but his appearance was cancelled by club owners who didn’t feel comfortable hosting him at their “family restaurant.”

Vincent Margera, 50, uncle of "Viva La Bam" star Bam Margera, was formally charged with two counts of sexual assault on a child on Wednesday (August 23), nearly a week after police arrested him following a signing at a Lakewood, Colorado, skate park. Both counts are class-four felonies; a spokesperson for the Jefferson County District Attorney’s office said the charges don’t necessarily carry a mandatory prison term, but if convicted, Margera could face two years in prison and/or probation that could last from a mandatory 10 years up to lifetime supervision.Margera, who is being represented by Pamela Mackey — the attorney who served as counsel for Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant in his sexual-assault case in Colorado — did not speak or enter a plea during Wednesday’s court appearance. He is accused of inappropriately fondling or groping two girls, ages 12 and 14, during two separate incidents at a signing event at Woodward Skatepark at Colorado Mills mall Friday night. He was held in jail without bond until Monday, when he posted $50,000 bond and was released. A spokesperson for the Margera family did not return calls for comment at press time; Mackey, who waived the reading of the charges in open court, also could not be reached for comment.
