Variety is reporting that Janet Jackson will be starring in Tyler Perry's Why Did I get Married?. Filming begins March 5th in Vancouver with Jill Scott and Sharon Leal. The fourth film in Perry's lucrative franchise, "Why Did I Get Married" revolves around a couple who go away with friends every winter to examine their marriages in a group setting. One of the wives brings along a sexy young temptress who causes plenty of trouble for the couples. Obviously she will not be playing the sexy young temptress. BTW am I the only one who doesn't get Tyler Perry's appeal, I saw Diary of Mad Black Woman and thought what is the big deal about him?

Are all of The Jacksons (minus LaToya) planning a tour? |

It had to happen eventually: With no work coming his way, Michael Jackson, sources say, has agreed to do a tour with sister Janet and his brothers. I'm told that Michael reluctantly met with his siblings on Monday in Las Vegas. Sisters Janet and Rebbie, as well as Jermaine, Randy, Marlon, Tito and Jackie, all knocked on Jackson's Las Vegas door around 7:30 p.m. Nanny Grace Rwaramba, who runs the door, made them wait between 30 and 60 minutes before allowing the brood in. What was discussed was the family's financial situation and the fact that Jackson has so far been unable to get work in Vegas. Sources say concert promoter Leonard Rowe of Atlanta, who worked with the Jacksons in the 1980s, was there and made a proposal: a family tour with all members. A successful Jackson family tour could change all that for Michael. It would also be a financial boon to a family that needs cash in a hurry. Jackson recently took a new mortgage on his parents' home, and his own home — the Neverland Valley Ranch — is in hoc to the tune of $25 million. Jackson himself relies on cash from royalties on his own songs. But that only comes to a maximum of $7 million a year. As described in court testimony, Jackson could go through that kind of money in just a couple of weeks. The tour idea also works for Janet Jackson, whose last two albums have been huge duds. The idea of Michael and Janet performing a couple of duets, or Janet's brothers backing her on her own hits, would be a tantalizing notion to any promoter.

Wow! That would be amazing but I doubt it will ever happen.

Ending 18 months of seclusion in Europe, reclusive superstar Michael Jackson was on a plane to the United States late Saturday bound for Las Vegas, where he plans a comeback. Jackson and his three children, Prince Michael, Paris and Prince Michael II were due to arrive before midnight at a private executive terminal at McCarran International Airport, sources said. Advertisement Click Here for the Page Store We hear that Jackson’s friend, Las Vegas dealmaker Jack Wishna, was instrumental in having the pop icon move back to the United States. Reminiscent of Howard Hughes’ secretive arrival in Las Vegas on Thanksgiving Day in 1966, Jackson’s surprise move came after his father, Joe Jackson, vowed his son would not live in the United States again. The 48-year-old deposed King of Pop has lived in Bahrain and a Celtic castle in Ireland since being acquitted in California of child molestation charges in June 2005. Wishna, reached by telephone, wouldn’t comment, other than to confirm Jackson was moving to Las Vegas and to say, "We are working on several projects." Jackson has had more than a dozen No. 1 hits on the U.S. charts, the last in 1995. He has not toured since the mid-1990s. Wishna wouldn’t say where Jackson might land on the Strip. Wishna made headlines during Jackson’s trial when he courted the entertainer, saying a Jackson comeback would earn a Celine Dion-like contract in Las Vegas. Calling Jackson "one of the greatest entertainers in the world," Wishna said the singer "is poised to return to the top of the entertainment world soon."

Michael Jackson using Reality TV to sell Neverland? |

Cash-strapped Jacko dealing with TV show to sell ranch Michael Jackson’s career is in ruins – and so is his world-famous Neverland Ranch, as these startling photos show. The 2,700-acre sprawling estate, once perfectly maintained, has gone from magical fantasyland to ghost town since the singer deserted the California property in July 2005. Desperate for cash, Jackson is hoping to sell the ranch – with its abandoned zoo and amusement park – by featuring it on a cable television show, The ENQUIRER has learned. The embattled star, who left the country after being cleared of child molestation charges, wants to unload the property for $50 million and is negotiating with the Bravo network to sell it on their reality show, "Million Dollar Listing: Hollywood." "Michael needs cash – and fast," a source told The ENQUIRER. "By making the show the exclusive agent for the Neverland sale, he can get some up-front money real quick. "The show will have exclusive access to Neverland and can do numerous segments about selling one of the most famous residences in the world. "Michael is in a bad way. He is running out of funds and appears distraught. He showed up at a meeting last week with his pants inside out! He’s a mess."
