Tonight at 8p on Raising Hope a social worker is sent to The Chances to investigate a child abuse claim, but she will change her course of action and be looking into how they treat Maw Maw (Cloris Leachman) instead. Now for you and me who watch the show every week, we know why they treat Maw Maw the way they do. But to an outsider it might seem like abuse and if they don’t clean up their act she will be taken from their home and put in a home. Will they be able to do everything on the social worker’s list or will Maw Maw be getting her own show Losing Hope? You have to tune into the very funny first part of the two-parter to find out.
Here’s a little spoiler as laugh out loud as tonight’s episode is, next week’s conclusion will have you laughing so hard you will need Depends just like Maw Maw. But you don’t want to miss a single laugh by not watching the show tonight on Fox at 8p.
Raising Hope is back for it’s third season premiere on Fox at 8p, and I laughed so hard my stomach hurt after I watched it. Sabrina’s grandmother (Tippi Hedren) has passed away and this is the chance for the Chances to finally meet her mom played by the legendary Melanie Griffith. Well turns out that one of the Chances has met her mom before and things will get very awkward for everyone when they put two and two together. Even more awkward than that is all of that stuff Maw Maw does tonight and all I will say is Cloris Leachman goes for it and then goes for it again and again.
Raising Hope is the funniest show you should be watching, so tune in tonight because laughter is the medicine and cold season is among us. Seriously how Martha Plimpton, Garret Dillahunt, Lucas Neff, Shannon Woodward and Leachman weren’t nominated for an Emmy for this show, is beyond me.
Then at 8:30p Ben & Kate airs its second episode and it is really starting to grow on me. Ben’s helping out around the house is causing problems for Kate when he keeps making Maddie late for school. Kate is called in to talk the principal. She scared to do so because she doesn’t live in the district where her daughter attends classes and she is afraid she will get busted. Now Ben and Kate will do everything and I do mean everything to pretend that they actually live there. Tune in for this funny episode to see if they are successful.
Tonight at 9:30p Raising Hope has its second season finale and it is f@cking fabulous. It is such perfection, I want to live blog it for you but it would spoil your enjoyment of the episode.
Nancy Grace is back playing herself, and she is interviewing Lucy who is very much alive. We will find out how Jimmy’s serial killer dead wife survived the execution and it will be shocking. Now that she is free, she wants her daughter back and take her away to Tibet. The Chances and Lucy will go to court to fight for custody and who the cute little 2 year old will live with will be decided.
But before all of that happens, Ed Begely Jr will make a heavenly appearance that is devilishly good, there will be a nice Monk shout out, the cast of My Name is Earl will all be part of the winning drama, a picture from Fox’s 25 years will be used, several of favorite characters from past episodes will be back and you will experience hundreds of laughs in just a half hour.
So tune in for one of the greatest half hours of television that we have seen all season long.
Fox announced today that Raising Hope, New Girl and Glee will all be joining Bones next season on their fall lineup. I thought Glee was already picked up, but I was hoping it wasn’t because I don’t know why I am still watching it. Maybe with the cast graduating it will get better? Probably not, but I can dream. When it comes to New Girl, it has its audience and it isn’t me. Finally, I am Johnny-come-lately with Raising Hope and I am so happy it will be back for another season. After I watched one episode of the sitcom, I was instantly hooked. If you have never seen the show, check it tomorrow at 9:30p after the other two new renewed shows. I promise you will be instantly in love with this darling show. Plus now that you know it will be back next season, it should make you want to watch it more.
Some of the other Fox shows awaiting their fate are Alcatraz, Touch, Fringe, The Finder, Breaking In, Napoleon Dynamite and Bob’s Burgers. I think Touch will definitely be back and that Alcatraz and Breaking In will have to wait until the network watches the other pilots before they make a decision. When it comes to Fringe as hard as everyone tries it just can’t find an audience. I know I am in the minority, but I hate all these alternate worlds on the show. I liked it better when they were just looking into Fringe cases.
Katy Perry is going to guest star on Raising Hope tonight at 8p and you are going to want to watch the unrecognizable singer make you laugh your a$$ off.
Sabrina is arrested for protesting and her old scout buddy (Perry) is the officer in charge at her prison where she is being held at. Well old buddy might not be the right way to describe her because she will make Sabrina’s life hell as revenge for when they were much younger. Meanwhile The Chances are doing everything they can to get her out, including befriending the mayor. Let’s just say that Virginia gets a pretty sweet deal out of this, but will Sabrina get the same?
Tune in for an arresting episode of Raising Hope in its new timeslot.
