Kate Moss faces prosecution again. Not for snorting cocaine (allegedly) but for puffing on a cigarette. She was caught on camera flouting Ireland’s strict smoking ban at a concert where her boyfriend Pete Doherty was performing with his band Babyshambles. The supermodel, wearing the skimpiest of black dresses, was singing on stage with Doherty when she took conspicuous puffs on a cigarette which was dangling in her hand. Doherty was also seen to be smoking constantly throughout the gig at the Music Factory, in Carlow, Co Carlow. Moss, 32, now faces a 3,000 euro fine — about £2,000 — for what would appear to be a violation of Ireland’s smoking ban, which came into effect in March 2004. Not that a successful prosecution is guaranteed. The last time Moss was caught misbehaving on camera — apparently snorting cocaine during a Babyshambles studio recording session — she subsequently escaped charges. While prosecutors suspected that she was taking an illegal substance, they could not be sure whether it was a class A drug such as cocaine or a lesser drug such as amphetamines. The result: after a nine-month police investigation, Moss walked free and her earnings sky-rocketed. She and Doherty are rumoured to be planning to get married but looked less than lovestruck last night in Dublin. Doherty, 27, who has just completed a drugs rehab stint at The Priory clinic, was sporting a black eye and looked exhausted — this was before he had even gone on stage at the Ambassador Theatre for a second gig.

I love that all these former drug addicts are getting done in by cigs?

Couple Kate Moss and Pete Doherty looked jet-lagged as they arrived at Dublin airport. The pair have kept celebrity-spotters guessing for months about whether they are together. But as they strode through the airport with their arms around each other they seemed very much a couple – if a little frayed around the edges. Doherty, sporting a black cap, leather jacket and crucifix seemed to be leaning on the supermodel for support as they walked through waiting photographers. Moss was last week signed up by TopShop to design a spring range of clothes for the chain in a £3million deal. It is a remarkable comeback after her career seemed doomed last September because of allegations of cocaine use. Moss is known for setting trends and as she left Dublin Airport she wore a fashionable bright green dress with a flower pattern on it. But the 32-year-old supermodel looked far from her best. Her face was drawn and her usually flawless skin appeared blotchy. Moss and Doherty split after his drug addiction seemed to have rubbed off on the model. In the wake of the scandal over her alleged cocaine use Moss was axed by some of the high-profile companies she fronted. But in the past year, to the fury of antidrug campaigners, she has signed 14 new deals and her £11million annual income is believed to have tripled to more than £30million. And she has been reunited with Doherty as he has made repeated attempts to beat his addiction by following a strict rehabilitation programmes.

Let’s bet, how long do you think it will be before he is back in rehab?

Kate Moss could marry troubled singer Pete Doherty within weeks, according to reports. The supermodel said yes to Doherty after he proposed to her during a stroll in the grounds of the Priory Clinic last week, where he is being treated for crack cocaine and heroin abuse, reported the Sunday Mirror. Doherty, 27, is due to leave the clinic this week. According to the newspaper, the pair are likely to wed abroad – probably a tropical destination – where the only guest will be Kate’s mother Linda. Doherty and Moss – who boosted her earnings even more last week when she signed a £3m deal to design for high street store Top Shop – have had an on/off relationship for more than a year. In September last year the supermodel was photographed allegedly snorting cocaine at a West London studio where Doherty was recording. The former Libertines star, who has battled drug addiction for the past few years, allegedly told Priory staff: "We will run away together to somewhere no one can find us and then we’ll get married." The Babyshambles frontman has made good progress during his latest stay at the Priory. He has put on weight and apparently looks healthier than he has in years. The source told the newspaper: "From the moment Pete came into the clinic, he accepted he was addicted to drugs like heroin and crack. He knew he had a problem. "In counselling sessions he has said things that show he knows what he needs to do – stop taking drugs and seek help as soon as he feels the urge to do so. "Kate has been so impressed with that attitude. She has always loved him but just needed him to straighten up. Now there’s nothing to stop them marrying."

Wonder what will last longer their marriage or his sobriety?

Troubled rocker PETE DOHERTY has been named as an unlikely guest editor on one of the BBC’s most established current affairs shows. BBC Radio 4’s long-running TODAY programme has already hosted a string of celebrities in the production room, including physicist STEPHEN HAWKING, U2 frontman BONO, and British tycoon SIR RICHARD BRANSON. Now the BABYSHAMBLES frontman, who is currently battling an addiction to heroin and cocaine in London clinic The Priory, is in talks to edit a Christmas (06) show. An insider says, "The programme is going to be unique to say the least. "With Pete in charge the only thing staff are expecting is the unexpected. Today is renowned for its hard news coverage, current affairs and heavyweight politics – but they believe Pete will be a good addition for their reputation in cultural circles. "And as long as the subjects are relevant and in keeping with BBC guidelines, the style and the content of the programme will be left to Pete."

I love Pete, but dude who knows what the heck is in his blood? I can not blame anyone who does not want to touch anything with his blood on it.
