Lily Allen has admitted to drug dealing – but says she wasn’t very good at it. Speaking in this month’s edition of NME’s sister title Uncut, the star said she dabbled with selling substances in her teenage years – but now doesn’t even have the time to take them. She said: "I was a drug dealer in Ibiza at 15. I did not excel in drug-dealing – I was terrible at it. Golden rule with drug-dealing; don’t get too enthusiastic with your own merchandise. "But I haven’t done drugs for a while now. Too busy. I’d like to say work and sex have replaced drugs. But there’s not been enough time off work for sex. This must change."

She kind of sounds like she is going to be the next Pete Doherty.

She’s only 21 so her memory should be pretty sharp but last night Lily Allen had to stop a concert performance mid-flow because she forgot the lyrics to one of her own songs. Help fortunately was at hand in the somewhat unusual form of Google, the internet search engine. While Allen struggled to remember the words, a member of her entourage logged on to a backstage computer, "Googled" the song and printed off the lyrics so she could resume. "She performed her first number without any problems, but when it came to the second track Everything’s Just Wonderful, she just got stuck," said one concert goer at Islington’s Union Chapel. "She just said something like, ‘Sorry, I can’t remember it. I’ll have another go later’. She seemed mildly embarrassed but quite jovial. "Then she sent someone off for the lyrics and launched into a different song. About five minutes later the assistant came back and handed her a couple of sheets of paper with the lyrics on. She sang Everything’s Just Wonderful from the lyric sheets." According to some audience members, Allen, one of Britain’s brightest young stars with a No 1 selling single, Smile, and a best-selling album, Alright, Still already in the bag, appeared a little "dazed" at the concert. It may be because she was being watched by fellow performers Chris Martin of Coldplay, James Morrison and members of The Automatic. Her father Keith Allen, the actor and comedian, was also in the audience. There may have been added pressure because, it transpires, her parents were married in the building 25 years ago.
This is London
Don’t you hate when that happens?
