On Sunday, Jeremy Renner was involved in an accident when his snow plow accidentally ran over him. He suffered serious injuries to both his chest and leg. Because of that, he is in critical condition and has undergone multiple surgeries.
While his family has released two statements, we didn’t really know how he was doing until today. The actor shared a photo from his hospital bed and wrote, “Thank you all for your kind words. 🙏. Im too messed up now to type. But I send love to you all.”
He looks good for someone who has been through such a traumatic experience. Hopefully, he will continue to get better, and it will be a rapid recovery.
Along with this update, Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam held a press conference about the accident. He said that they received 3 feet of new snow on Saturday night, and one of Renner’s relatives was trapped in their car by his house in Lake Tahoe. So he got his Snowcat and drove to dig her and the others out.
When he got to her, he got out of the vehicle to talk to her. That is when he saw that the 14,000-pound snow plow was moving. So he ran to try to get under control, but it ran over him.
Renner’s relative and his neighbors ran to his assistance with towels to stop the bleeding.
And on another note, the sheriff also said that Renner is a great neighbor to his community and helps them out in person and anonymously. So the neighbors were doing for him what he has been doing for them, and that is being neighborly. Do on to others as you want done on to you.
