Masi Oka is taking his love of video games to the big screen according to The Hollywood Reporter. My favorite star of Heroes is creating a new movie for Dreamworks.
The story centers on a group of mostly teenagers from around the world who are involved in a multiplayer video game, each unaware of who they really are behind the cover of their consoles and avatars. They are forced to come together for a real adventure, becoming inadvertent heroes in the process.
Oka, who will exec produce, came up with idea while playing MMORPGs — massively multiplayer online role-playing games, in that world’s parlance.
“You can be whoever you want to be,” he said. “The question came to me: What if you had to live up to the person you created in the virtual world?”
Not only will there be a movie, but Dreamworks will also be creating a video game with the movie. Not bad for the little guy who started out working for George Lucas’ ILM!!!
Rachel Melvin was recently let go from Days of our Lives (and this viewer thinks that was a huge mistake), but since her firing she has a earned a Daytime Emmy for her role and just landed a part on Heroes according to The Hollywood Reporter!
“Days of Our Lives” co-star Rachel Melvin has been tapped to guest star and potentially recur on “Heroes” next season, playing Annie, who also will share sleeping quarters (and maybe more) with Claire.
Days of our Lives stupid loss is Heroes gain! I am glad that she is moving to primetime because she was great in Daytime!
Adrian Pasdar aka Buckshotwon has been posting behind-the-scenes video from the season finale and it is so cool what he is sharing! We all know that Zachary Quinto’s career is hot now, so it was nice to see him on fire…literally. I love how he kept opening eyes even though he was suppose to be “dead”. Plus how cute is Masi Oka in that second video!!!
These videos are a nice fix until the show comes back in September!!!
Tonight is the season finale of Heroes and not everyone is going to make it to the next one. I am afraid to think that my favorite Hero, Hiro aka Masi Oka will be one of the ones that doesn’t. Who do you think isn’t going make it to next season?

Before Jack Coleman was trying to save lives on Heroes, he was Jake Kositchek aka The Salem Strangler on Days of our Lives. OMG! How different does the 23 year old actor look with the feathered hair and without his horn-rimmed glasses back in 1982?
BTW I am a huge fan of DOOL and can’t believe I didn’t know before now that he was the infamous Salem Strangler! Oh and don’t forget to watch him on Heroes tonight on NBC at 9p!!!
