Grants Wants Michael To Play Him In Biopic…. British actor Hugh Grant has earmarked pop star George Michael to play him in a potential biopic of his turbulent life. The Notting Hill actor, who was arrested for lewd conduct after cops found him with a prostitute in his car in 1995, insists Careless Whisper star Michael holds a burning ambition to play him. He tells British radio station Heart, "I know that it’s something that George has always wanted to do.films "He sent me a script the other day actually. It’s not my whole life – just really the years between 20 and 25 – and it’s very flattering."

I think George Michael is too old to play him and doesn’t have that cuteness that Hugh Grant does. I think Sean Maguire from the Class would be great!

GEORGE Michael is plotting a spectacular comeback for his 80s pop duo Wham! at the new Wembley. The star, 43, and pal Andrew Ridgeley, 41, have held talks over a one-off show – 21 years after their farewell gig at the venue. A source at the 90,000-seat stadium, finally due to be completed by summer, said yesterday: "It would be a fantastic gig. "They’re still very popular and we think they would fill Wembley out." George tried to get Andrew to join him on tour last year and said: "I’m going to ask if he could do Last Christmas with me." He has sold 85 million records as a solo star since their heyday. But Andrew lives quietly in Cornwall with ex-Bananarama star wife Keren Woodward and son Thomas.

I might just have to go to that, now that The Police tickets are only $225 and they are playing Los Angeles! Anyone else want to go with me?

Singer George Michael has pocketed £1.5 million for performing at a Russian billionaire’s New Year’s Eve bash. The unnamed businessman paid for Michael to entertain his 300 guests with an hour-long concert. The lavish party took place on his private estate 20 miles outside Moscow, the star’s spokeswoman said. The £1.5 million sum is believed to make Michael the highest paid entertainer in modern Russian history. He was flown out to the billionaire’s mansion with his 20-strong entourage of band and backing singers. An insider said: "The businessman contacted George directly and asked him to perform. "He has a vast private estate just outside Moscow and had turned his sports hall into a nightclub especially for the party. "It was a fun night and George was back home in Britain by morning." Other stars who have picked up big cheques include Christina Aguilera, reportedly paid £1 million for performing three songs at the wedding of Russian oligarch Andrei Melnichenko in September 2005.

That is so crazy, I wish I had money to blow (no pun intended) like that. I guess George Mchael needs the money for his upcoming court date for being declared unfit to drive.

George Michael’s New Year’s resolution: Make a comeback. A source close to the 43-year-old singer tells PEOPLE that the pop star will embark on his first U.S. tour in 15 years this spring. In recent years, Michael has made more headlines with his run-ins with the law than with his music: In February he was arrested on suspicion of drug possession in London. However, he recently finished a 16-city greatest-hits European tour (dubbed "25 Live") that was sold out and, by all accounts, scandal free. He’s also polishing his image on Dec. 20 by performing a free London concert for nurses.

Imagine if JFK wasn’t assassinated 43 years ago |

The piano on which the late John Lennon composed his famous anti-war song "Imagine" made an odd appearance on Wednesday at the site where President John F. Kennedy was gunned down, competing for attention with conspiracy buffs on the 43rd anniversary of the assassination. The plain-looking brown piano has been brought to America for exhibits by pop star George Michael and his partner Kenny Goss. Michael bought it in 2000 at an auction for 1.45 million pounds. "George and Kenny are very focused on world peace and they wanted to bring the piano here as a message of peace at this iconic site," said Barbara Buzzell, spokeswoman for the Goss Gallery in Dallas, where the piano goes on display next month. The piano spent the morning covered in canvas at the so-called "grassy knoll", where many conspiracy theorists are convinced at least one unknown shooter fired the shots that killed Kennedy as his motorcade swept past. Investigators maintain the act was carried out by Lee Harvey Oswald acting alone and that he fired the shots from the sixth-floor window of what was then the Texas School Book Depository building. Oswald was himself subsequently gunned down while in police custody. The piano briefly stole the show after its canvas was whipped off for a few minutes. "It’s kind of weird. It seems people care more about a musician who wasn’t even from America than they do about JFK," said Danny Steis, a 25-year-old bystander taking in the proceedings with his niece under a cloudless Dallas sky. The ex-Beatle Lennon and Kennedy were both icons of the 1960s who were assassinated but had little else in common. Lennon was murdered outside his New York apartment building in 1980.

How symbolic and perfect.
