Britney Spears Vegas bound? |

With a divorce in the works and her body looking like a million dollars, is Britney Spears plotting an Elvis-like comeback in Las Vegas? That was her plan more than a year ago, according to Jack Wishna, who pitched her on "a Celine Dion-like deal." "She wanted to launch her comeback at a major hotel casino here," Wishna said. The deal would have put her in a Strip property in 2007 or 2008 for 20-plus weeks a year for $15 million to $20 million a year, he said. "The deal breaker," Wishna said, "was she didn’t want him (husband Kevin Federline) part of the Vegas scene." In fact, Spears had Federline "pretty much booted from the room" during negotiations, Wishna added. Spears won’t have to worry about that distraction now. Citing "irreconcilable differences," she petitioned for a divorce from the aspiring rapper on Monday in Los Angeles County Superior Court. Spears, who had a 55-hour marriage after a New Year’s Eve weekend fling at the Palms in 2004, seeks both legal and physical custody of the couple’s two children, 14-month-old Sean Preston and 2-month-old Jayden James, with Federline getting reasonable visitation rights.

That would be so perfect for her. As long as she stays away from the Wedding Chapels!

Was K-Fed ready to file for divorce too? |

Britney Spears’ sudden filing for divorce from Kevin Federline on Nov. 7 after two stormy years of marriage came as a shock to many — but to no one more so than Kevin, Life & Style has learned exclusively. “Kevin is focused on his tour,” says an insider. “I don’t think he was prepared for this.” When contacted by Life & Style, Kevin’s rep seemed to have no idea that Britney had filed divorce papers. In fact, insiders say Kevin was preparing a divorce bombshell of his own. As early as last May, Kevin, 28, began secretly meeting with his lawyer, Mark Kaplan, to work out a settlement deal with Britney, 24. Kevin was prepared to use their son, Sean Preston, now 1, as leverage: If Britney didn’t give Kevin $10 million, plus their $10 million Malibu mansion, he would sue her for custody, claims an insider. “Kevin knows that Sean is Britney’s Achilles’ heel,” an insider says. But the couple stayed together through the birth of their second son, Jayden James, now 2 months. Yet Life & Style knows that Kevin recently went back to his lawyer for more secret divorce talks — and this time, he had two babies to use as pawns. He was hoping to score a $30 million payday. “He feels like $10 million is not a generous amount if he and Britney split since he won’t have any part of his sons’ lives,” says an insider. But Britney was too quick for him. While Kevin was caught up with his troubled album-release tour, she filed papers of her own asking for legal and physical custody of Sean and Jayden — before the couple reached any kind of deal. “There was no way she was going to let Kevin lead the way on this subject,” says a close friend of Kevin’s. “She filed first to save face. It’s all about taking care of the babies and keeping the money.” And Brit’s prenup should be airtight. According to the prenup, Kevin will receive $300,000, any gifts Britney bought him that cost less than $10,000 and half the value of their $10 million Malibu mansion. Perhaps if Kevin had paid more attention to his wife instead of his career and friends, he would have seen the legal war coming. After a bitter fight on Oct. 11, Britney told him, “If you want to act like you’re a bachelor who doesn’t have a family or a wife, I can make that a reality,” says a friend who witnessed the fight. Brit later got on the phone with her mother and told her, “This isn’t working.” That was obvious during Kevin and Britney’s recent trip to NYC. She arrived on Nov. 2, the day after Kevin, who was in town to promote his debut album, Playing With Fire. But Britney did not go to Kevin’s album-release party at Stereo on Nov. 3 or his poorly attended concert at Webster Hall on Nov. 4. They even stayed at separate hotels. In fact, the only public appearances Britney made were on Nov. 2 for dinner at the Regency Hotel, which she left in tears after Kevin stood her up, and a surprise visit to the Nov. 6 Late Show With David Letterman, where she showed off her svelte post-baby body — and her wedding-ring-less hand. Britney’s eager to make a comeback, and now she’s finally confident enough to do it without Kevin. “I have two young kids now,” Britney told a Planet Blue employee while shopping at the Malibu boutique on Oct. 22. “I have to think of them. To be honest, I don’t care if we stay together. I’m not going to stop my life for him, and I’ve already wasted too much time already.”

Life & Style Weekly said they were the ones who broke the news to his camp. How sad if that is how he found out? And I hate to admit it, but I think he deserves $10 million if they get divorced. Seriously he is going to need the money because is music career is going no where.

Britney Spears has filed a petition for divorce from Kevin Federline. TMZ obtained the legal papers, filed today in Los Angeles County Superior Court, citing "irreconcilable differences." In her petition, Spears asks for both legal and physical custody of the couple’s two children, one-year old Sean Preston and two-month old Jayden James, with Federline getting reasonable visitation rights. As for money, sources tell TMZ the couple, who married in Oct. 2004, has an iron-clad prenup. Not surprisingly, Spears is waiving her right to spousal support. She’s also asking the judge to make each party pay their own attorney’s fees. Spears gives the date of separation as yesterday, the same day she flaunted her incredible revamped physique during a surprise appearance on David Letterman’s show. Sources tell TMZ there was no single reason for Britney pulling the plug, rather, it was "a string of events." Spears has hired powerhouse celebrity divorce lawyer Laura Wasser, who has repped a number of celebs, including Angelina Jolie, Nick Lachey and Kiefer Sutherland. We’re told Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe asked Wasser to rep both of them in their split, but Wasser declined for personal reasons. Significantly, Britney lists the date of her marriage as October 6, 2004. There was an uproar around the time of the wedding because the highly publicized "secret" ceremony was held on Sept. 18th, leading many to question the validity of the ceremony. Now the divorce documents indicate that the lavish ceremony was not the official wedding. Read the divorce papers here.

K-Fed to write the most boring book ever |

Kevin Federline has announced that he is planning to write an autobiography. The dancer-cum-rapper wants to let the public know about his life before his marriage to Britney Spears – but won’t include any content relating to the couple’s up-down relationship. Federline told the New York Post: "The book is definite. It will be a biography of my life until I met my wife, so people will better understand who I am." However, he admitted he hadn’t started work on the project, and wouldn’t be doing the writing on his own: "I haven’t done it yet. You know, I’ll get a ghostwriter in there," he added.
