An entertainer turns down invite because of Paula Abdul’s erratic behavior? |

Paula Abdul's erratic behavior is keeping organizers of the Nevada Ballet Theatre's Black & White Ball on their toes. At least one major entertainer has declined an invitation to perform over concerns about Abdul's recent train-wreck TV interviews, I'm told. Abdul, the gala's "Woman of the Year" honoree, created a public relations disaster with her slurring and loopy interviews that were intended to promote the sixth season of "American Idol." Instead, she and her reps have been forced to fend off allegations that she was under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Twice last week, "The View" host Rosie O'Donnell suggested Abdul was drinking before the wacky interviews. Craig Cavileer, co-chair of the Black & White Ball with his wife, Charlene, said Friday that Abdul is "fully committed" to the Nevada Ballet fundraiser. "The New York publicity week was full of headlines but … her executive producer role for the 'Bratz' movie, the new TV show with Bravo and her being honored by 'Project Runway' all seemed to get missed. I wish someone would take the time to focus on some of these items," Cavileer said in an e-mail. As to rumblings that "American Idol" finalist Chris Daughtry will perform, Cavileer said, "Chris may join us as well as other celebs."

I am still trying to understand why they were honoring her in the first place?

Taylor Hicks the new Ruben Studdard |

American Idol winner Taylor Hicks is suing his former manager over allegations he is owed 20 percent of the singer's earnings. Hicks, who fired Jan Childs in September 2004 before winning the TV talent contest, insists he doesn't owe a cent because Childs was no longer in his employment when his career took off. In a suit filed earlier this month in Jefferson County, Alabama, Hicks claims their original contract stated that if he didn't get a recording contract during their first year of working together, he had the right to fire him. However, Childs insists their agreement was never terminated, according to MTV. Hicks entered "American Idol" in October 2005 and signed a record and management deal in February 2006.

Who is he going to sue next? This is second suit so far, but the first one was dropped.

"American Idol" finalist Chris Daughtry will perform a free concert in downtown Greensboro on March 23. Greensboro Coliseum officials organized the show as a prelude to the NCAA women's basketball tournament games on March 24 and 26, and they hope the concert helps the city's bid to host the 2012 women's Final Four. Between 6,000 and 7,000 people are expected to attend the concert. Over the past year, Daughtry, 27, has gone from a local musician based in nearby McLeansville to a fourth-place "Idol" finish and a top-selling album. Daughtry's band, called Daughtry, released their self-titled debut album on Nov. 21. "Daughtry," released on Sony BMG's RCA label, has sold nearly 1.3 million copies and hit No. 1 this week on the strength of its first single, "It's Not Over." The cost for the concert wasn't released, and organizers said it's in flux. They expect to recoup most of the cost through concession sales and sponsorships.

He really has taken to his new found fame by givng back…unlike the winner who is suing the people who helped him when he was a no one.

Which former Idol contestant is jealous of Jennifer Hudson |

CLAY AIKEN made an appearance on "Good Morning America" Thursday to promote UNICEF's public awareness campaign for Child Survival 2007, and the "American Idol" runner-up also revealed which former contestant gets his vote! "I'm jealous," Clay lightheartedly replied when asked about JENNIFER HUDSON. "There was a point I was considered the most successful 'Idol' loser, but now I'm not anymore. I saw the movie ['Dreamgirls'] and she deserves the Academy Award," he added. "Now I'm going to be in second place again." The singing sensation wants to use his fame to help others, and is a dedicated advocate for children's causes, such as UNICEF's mission to provide health, education, equality and protection for children across the globe. "We want to get people involved," Clay said of his role with the organization.

At least he is honest about it, unlike Fantasia!
