Next week is all about Dolly Parton on American Idol. The final 9 American Idols will be performing her songs and I am already dreading how bad it is going to be. It is not that her songs are bad, I just fear their performances will be. But I be a little more OK with it if one of them does Straight Talk tolerably…I love that movie.
Hopefully their performances won't be so bad that she will decide not to perform Jesus & Gravity on Wednesday.
BTW that guy I already forgot about was eliminated.

Whether he wins the American 7 or not he will be the biggest seller of American Idol’s history and then some. I want David Cook’s album now. He is what American Idol is all about. Wow, f*cking wow!!!
I am such a purist with music and I hate when they destroy songs on Idol, but I am just in awe what David Cook has done to ’80s song Lionel Richie’s Hello and Michael Jackson’s Billie Jean and brought them into the new millennium and will introduce a new generation to songs of yesteryear. I mean he still keeps the flavor, but modernizes the heck out of them!

UPDATE: I just listened to Ryan’s intro and heard that David Cook did Chris Cornell’s version of the song, but I think David Cook added even more to the song and made it more haunting and worked it out so much better…sorry Chris.
I think for the first I know who all the American Idol contestants are this season. It only took how long?
I am not shocked Amanda Overmyer is gone her voice is good for a bar, but ruined the group numbers. Here is to hoping that Kristy Lee Cook goes next week because how many songs can one person destroy? It is cruel and unusual punishment for us viewers and the surviving artists she is doing it to.
How the heck was David Hernadez voted off instead of Kristy Lee Cook? Seriously she sang Eight Days a Week so badly that I am not sure I will ever be able to listen to it again and that was one my favorite Beatles tunes. She must must must go next week. But back to David Hernandez, now I bummed I will never hear him sing Adam Ant's Strip.

If it wasn’t Paul McCartney’s divorce to Heather Mills costing him so much money, he would not have had to sell his and John Lennon’s song book to American Idol and we would not have heard their songs being destroyed like that. So once again I say damn you Heather Mills.
If Kristy Lee Cook is not voted off today it will be a major sacrilege. She needs to only perform that song on the eight day of the week.
UPDATE: Looks like Heather Mills is not the only one to blame for last night being so mad. ETonline is reporting that David Archuleta’s dad is rumored to have yelled at him on Monday during a recording session and made him cry and that could be why the American Idol favorite might have have forgotten his lines to the song. If that is the case, they need to ban his dad from the show nights.
