It has been 25 years since George of the Jungle came out, and now the movie’s lead is apologizing to San Fransisco.

Over the weekend, Brendan Fraser’s new movie Whale played at the Mill Valley Film Festival, and he had a message for the locals. He told them, “My bad. It won’t happen again.”

What was his bad? There was a scene where Geroge of the Jungle had to save a man whose parachute got stuck on the Golden Gate Bridge. Since the movie had the budget, they used the real SF landmark. However, they used a fake man in a parachute.

Well, San Franciscans believed it was a real man, so they stopped traffic to watch as his fate unfolded. They weren’t the only ones, so did the local news. They broke into The Oprah Winfrey Show to report on the parachutist. And that is real fake news for those of you who scream fake news.

Anyways, Fraser is sorry and will not film another harrowing scene from the Golden Gate Bridge again.
