On several occasions, Tyler Perry has given back to the residents of the city of Atlanta. Yesterday, he did it again.
He donated 1,000 $50 Kroger gift cards to the Atlanta Police Department to hand out to the people they protect and serve to help mend the relationship between the officers and themselves. The purpose is to get the two sides to talk. Hopefully, once they start talking, they won’t stop, and we will never have another George Floyd or Eric Garner.
Let’s get the conversation started because the best way to get to know someone is to ask questions and listen. It is easy to hate someone we don’t know; it is much harder to hate them when we get to know them.
When it comes to Perry, he needs to be awarded for all of his generosity.
