January 28th, 2008 under The Baby Borrowers

The National Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy has seen all 6 episodes of NBC’s The Baby Borrowers and here is what they had to say about the show!

In the United States we’re seeing the first increase in teen births in 15 years – a situation that has us all concerned. Keeping the issue of teen pregnancy and teen parenting on the national radar screen is more important now than ever and “The Baby Borrowers” will do just that. The “Baby Borrowers” will no doubt lead to frank discussions about sex, birth control, pregnancy, and starting a family among anyone who watches it – a very good thing. This show provides a fascinating look at some of the challenges faced by real teen parents every day. It would be impossible to watch “The Baby Borrowers” and not come away with a better understanding and appreciation for the demanding task of parenting.

I know many people want to cause controversy with this show, but there is no reason to because there is a greater good to TBB. If it can makes teens talk to their parents about sex and teen pregnancy and prevent a few unwanted teen pregnancies than that is more important than those people who have not see the show and look for controversy.
So please make sure to watch this show, no matter what age you are on NBC starting February 18th at 9p!
In the meantime check out The National Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy’s website for information about the campaign and NBC’s The Baby Borrowers’ website about the show!
Thanks Amy!
UPDATE: The Baby Borrowers is no longer premiering on February 18th, it will be moving to later date yet to be announced.
