The contestants on Wheel of Fortune are having a really good week. For the first time in the show’s 40-year history, they had back-to-back $100,000 winners. Then they were followed by a third winner in a row, winning that amount.
Therefore, some fans of the show are starting conspiracy theories online, and host Pat Sajak has a message for them. He wrote, “A quick reminder to conspiracy theorists: thanks to the quiz show scandals of the 1950s, fixing a TV game show is a federal crime. I really like our players, and I’d like them all to win, but I draw the line at serving prison time.”
I have to admit; I am beginning to have my own conspiracy theory. It is interesting that this started happening right after Amy Schneider’s astonishing 40-game run on Jeopardy. It feels like this is WoF’s way of getting people to tune in for some excitement.
Do you have your own conspiracy theory?
