Now we know who that one Nickleback fan is…
December 10th, 2018 under Fred Savage, Nickelback, Ryan Reynolds. [ Comments: none ]

I thought that hating on Nickleback was a Canadian rite of passage, but I guess I was wrong. Because when Fred Savage took issue with the globally hated band, Deadpool had had enough of people that trashing the Rock band.

The man in red spewed out a whole bunch of facts that prove we actually love to hate them in public, but in private we love listening to them. Leaving little Kevin Arnold to respond in one way and one way only. By saying sorry. As in singing a duet of How You Remind Me with the ugliest superhero.

Because of that, I have been listening to Nickelback for the last hour. Damn you Deadpool. In protest, I am not going to see Once Upon a Deadpool on Wednesday. Instead, I will wait until Thursday!

So that is why they are doing Once Upon a Deadpool
December 6th, 2018 under Fred Savage, Ryan Reynolds. [ Comments: none ]

Have you been wondering why 20th Century Fox is releasing a PG-13 version of Deadpool 2? Well, now we know why we are getting Once Upon a Deadpool on December 12th because Fred Savage got it out of Ryan Reynolds.

It is partially because it is a family movie. Another part is that it will make some money. But this biggest reason, it is now a Disney film. And we know Disney likes everything to the opposite of what Deadpool stands for.

Fred Savage claims Ryan Reynolds had him kidnapped
December 5th, 2018 under Fred Savage, Ryan Reynolds. [ Comments: none ]

In the first full trailer for Once Upon a Deadpool, the PG-13 version of Deadpool 2, we find out that Fred Savage was kidnapped and that is why he is doing the movie. We thought it was a joke, but turns out it is what really happened.

In an exclusive generic interview with the kid from Princess Bride, he revealed what really happened. Kevin Arnold got a call from Ryan Reynolds asking him to be in the cleaned up film. The child star then asked him why he would want to do that. Before he could get the answer, the next thing he knew was that he woke up on the set. That’s right, he says he was kidnapped.

Teaching us an important lesson, “You just don’t say no to Ryan.” Unless your name is Hugh Jackman.

The squeaky-clean version of Deadpool 2 comes out on December 12th, and Savage said his kids enjoyed it. Maybe because they liked seeing their dad all tied up?

Fred Savage was nicer as a kid
November 19th, 2018 under Fred Savage, Ryan Reynolds. [ Comments: none ]

On December 12th, Fox is releasing a PG-13 version of Deadpool. That means no sex, no cursing, no awesome deaths, basically no fun. How do you that when 9/10ths of the movie is left on the cutting room floor?

You bring in Fred Savage, put him in his Princess Bride bedroom and have Deadpool read him a fairytale. Only thing Fred is not a cute kid anymore. Thus, the only way to get him on board is to Misery him.

Now, he is on board. Or should I say his feet are on a board?

UPDATE: Fred Savage explains how they got him to be part of the Christmas movie of this year, “’The only way I’d do a remake of a sequel of a comic book movie is if they kidnapped me and forced me to do it,’” is something I said as a joke. As. A. Joke. #onceuponadeadpool”

Child Support is a feel good, cute game show for the whole family!
January 5th, 2018 under ABC, Fred Savage, Ricky Gervais. [ Comments: none ]

Child Support had me at Ricky Gervais interacting with kids, and kept me because it is such a lovable show. The game show that debuts on ABC tonight at 8p has two different elements to it, that merge well together.

The first part has Fred Savage as the host for the adult contestants. He asks the adults questions and if they guess right, they move on. If they get it wrong, they lose a money value, starting at $250,000, and it is up to the kids to save them. If the kids also get it wrong, then the adult goes home without any money.

Gervais is with a panel of 4-5 kids and he asks them the questions that was asked to the adults first, whether the senior got it right or not. The questions are pretty easy for a kid, and not as easy for an adult. But what makes it worth it is how Gervais interacts with the kids. He is a big lovable kid like them, so you cannot help but love watching him with them.

Together it all mashes well together, creating an enjoyable hour of television to end the week with. But if I am being honest, I could watch just an hour of Gervais with the kids. It is so sweet and we need to end the week on a happy note like this.

Therefore, tune in tonight and every Friday for a game show everyone can fall in love with.
