The League has a twist that scores a game winning touchdown!
September 9th, 2015 under FX. [ Comments: none ]

Tonight at 10p, The League begins its final season (Does it really have to end?) on FXX and they have nothing to lose.
The wackiest and wildest fantasy football league (Kate Aselton, Mark Duplass, Nick Kroll, Jon Lajoie, Stephen Rannazissi and Paul Scheer) are together again and tonight they are going to help the big leagues pick their teams in their draft.
As exciting as that is, the big thing about this season is a surprising twist. One you don’t see coming. One that was put into motion during the first episode. I can’t tell you anymore, but I will tell you it is something that is going to bring many many laughs to this already hysterical show.
Tune in to find out what it is, I promise you will love it almost as much as when your team wins the Super Bowl.

Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll is rockin’!
July 16th, 2015 under Denis Leary, FX. [ Comments: none ]

Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll takes the stage tonight at 10p on FX. If you like Rock’n’Roll, then you are going to love this bitchin’ show. It is like going to see your favorite band, going backstage and sleeping with the band member of your choice with no regrets. That’s right it’s like the best night of your life and one you will never forget.
Back in 1990, The Heathens were about to break, but they broke up on the day their first album came out. That’s because Johnny Rock (Denis Leary) was sleeping with the other band member’s wives and fiancées.
It’s been 25 years since they split and they have all gone their different ways. Since their breakup it has never been as good for any of them. But that is all going to change when Johnny Rock meets a young woman at a club. Turns out Gigi (Elizabeth Gillies) is his daughter who he never knew about and she wants to get The Heathens back together to help launch her singing career. Only problem is no one in the band wants to work with Johnny Rock again. Once he gets Flash (John Corbett) the guitarist and his co-writer, who’s been touring with Lady Gaga, on board, the rest follow.
Now that Johnny Rock, Flash, Bam Bam (Bobby Kelly) and Rehab (John Ales) are together again, all hell is going to break loose. In other words Rock’n’Roll is alive again for them. They are back to living the life of Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll again and not in that order.
Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll is the show that Denis Leary was born to do. This is him at his best, you know when he is playing someone at their worst. Plus, he has a great cast backing him up.
This show is Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll & Comedy & Coolness & Love & Happiness & the best show on television this summer. It’s for everyone who wishes they could live the crazy Rocker lifestyle because the show envisions how we all picture it. Party on!

The Strain is a scary thrill ride you don’t want to get off
July 12th, 2015 under FX. [ Comments: none ]

The Strain is back on FX tonight at 10p and it is actually scarier than it was last season.
The episode take place shortly after the season finale and we get to find what if any damage the gang has done to the Master.
The Master might be down, but he is not out and he is making his army of Vampires stronger. The German (Richard Sammel) and newly healed Billionaire Eldritch Palmer (Jonathan Hyde) are helping him accomplish that. Only thing is both of them think they are the Master’s #2, but who holds that title?
Then there is Abraham (David Bradley) and he is still fighting the fight. While he is fightinh, we will learn more about his backstory. We find out how he got that cane, the history of it and how old he really is.
Finally, there is Eph (Corey Stoll) and Nora (Mía Maestro) and they are working to find a cure or vaccine in a Staten Island lab. Will they be able to find one before it is too late.
Besides all of that there will be Vampires and there will be sex! Just not who you think will be doing it.
When I was kid, I loved Vampire movies and TV shows, but in recent years they have become overexposed. That is until The Strain and I love my blood suckers all over again. If you love a good scary tale, then you are going to want to take a bite out of The Strain every Sunday at 10p.

Baby Daddy and It’s Always Sunny bring the humor tonight!
January 14th, 2015 under Baby Daddy, Freeform, FX, Kaitlin Olson. [ Comments: none ]

Baby Daddy is back on ABC Family tonight at 8:30p and Ben (Jean-Luc Bilodeau) is wondering if there is something going on between his brother and his girlfriend.
Ben is so convinced that there is something up between Riley (Chelsea Kane) and Danny (Derek Theler), that he will do everything in his power to find out. But his curiosity might kill his relationship with the first woman he has ever loved. Will he go too far? Does Riley have feelings for Danny? Will Danny get on that plane and go to France? And what trouble will Bonnie (Melissa Peterman) get into now? All I will tell you is a lot for the last question, but what else is new?

Then at 10p, switch over to FXX for the return of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. The gang attempt to break Wade Boggs record of drinking over 60 beers on a cross country flight and then hit a home run at Dodgers stadium the next day. Just try to picture Dennis (Glenn Howerton), Dee (Kaitlin Olson), Charlie (Charlie Day) and Frank (Danny DeVito) on a plane, drinking beer after beer after beer as Mac (Rob McElhenney) is the referees. If you are a fan of the show, then you think you know how it goes and your wrong. It is even worse than you can imagine because when two of them get eliminated, they try to join the Mile High Club. That is why we love them. No matter how many seasons this show goes on for, it is still as bad as ever. Which means it still brilliant beyond words can describe.

The League puts the fun in funeral!
September 3rd, 2014 under FX. [ Comments: none ]

The League is back on FXX tonight at 10p and someone is going to die. And be prepared to laugh at that person’s death and then feel really guilty about it. Or at least pretend you feel guilty about it.
That’s right our favorite Fantasy Football League is going to lose a member to death and the surviving members will attend his funeral. Let’s just say just when you think that they can’t do anything worse there than what they just did, they will top themselves time and time again.
Even though tonight is the show’s sixth season premiere, they are just as awful as they have always been. So I am happy that they haven’t lost their touch or their sick humor after all of this time. So tune in for a good laugh, or is bad laugh? Either way you will be laughing!
