The Real got the realest news today, it was cancelled
April 8th, 2022 under The Real. [ Comments: 11 ]

There are a lot of daytime talk shows that are ending/were canceled this year. Today we learned that there is one more that is joining The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Wendy Williams Show, The Maury Povich Show, Judge Jerry, Dr. Oz, his daughter’s show, The Doctors, Daily Mail TV, and The Nick Cannon Show, and that show is The Real.

Loni Love, who was part of The Real for all 8 seasons, has her theory of why it is ending. The comedian wrote, “In the end The Real cast & crew did everything we could to scale the show down..We shot 7-8 shows in 3 days, no audience, made a conference room into a studio, but in my opinion Covid costs killed this show.. it’s been a great ride and thanks to the viewers for 8 great seasons!”

I think Love nailed it. COVID cost a lot of money, and the shows all lost viewers, and with that, they are going for cheaper replacements like Jennifer Hudson’s show that no one will watch. CBS got creative to save Drew Barrymore’s talk show. They are splitting her hour-long show into two half hours and are letting the local channels air an extra thirty minutes of their own newscast.

Daytime is going to look a whole lot different in the Fall. It will be interesting to see if people are still going to be watching all of these new people and their shows.

On that note, who is replacing Ellen? Why haven’t they announced that yet? Things that make you go, hmmm?

Jeannie Mai’s baby is a…
January 26th, 2022 under The Real. [ Comments: none ]

On January 11th, Jeannie Mai announced that her baby with Jeezy had arrived. However, that was all she said. Earlier this week, she revealed that she named it Monaco because the location has a special meaning for her and her husband. Today on The Real, she finally gets real with the gender of her first child. Monaco is a girl.

How does she feel about having a daughter? She told her co-hosts Garcelle Beauvais, Adrienne Houghton, Loni Love, “That’s the part that I’m still just so overwhelmed with, you know. I can’t explain to you how many visions jumped into my head this moment I put that little girl into my hands. I thought about my relationship with Mama Mai. That already, I can’t wait to have that bond with Monaco. I also thought about all the things that I didn’t learn as a little girl, that I can’t wait to teach my daughter now. There’s just so many reasons why raising a little girl is such an honor to me. I would have been happy with anything, but to have Monaco, I can’t tell you, I feel chosen. It’s emotional and I can’t wait to raise a really strong, loving, empathetic, humorous, fashionable, fly, little girl.”

Jeannie and Jeezy will celebrate their first wedding anniversary on March 27th.

Jeannie Mai had her baby
January 12th, 2022 under The Real. [ Comments: 1 ]

Jeannie Mai and her husband, Jeezy, welcomed their first child together. That is all we know because all she wrote about it is “Baby Jenkins is here.” So, we don’t know what it is, when it was born, nor what its name is. However, I am sure we will know all soon.

Along with the announcement, she added something inspiring. “I asked God for a life of love and happiness,” she wrote. “He sent me my family.”

A family that became official last March when the couple were married. This is Mai’s first child and Jeezy’s fourth. Congrats to the newlyweds.

Jeannie Mai is getting so Real about motherhood, she is having a baby!
September 20th, 2021 under The Real. [ Comments: none ]

The Real was back in the studio today, after a year and a half, and they have a new set. If that is not enough news for the first episode of season 8, Jeannie Mai had some bigger news to share with all of us.

She and her husband Jeezy are expecting their first child together, his third. This is really big news because the host has previously said on the daytime talk show that she didn’t want to be a mom.

However, now that she is with someone that she feels safe with and loves, she has changed her mind. The couple, who will be celebrating their 6-month anniversary next week, looks to be having a honeymoon baby. And she couldn’t be happier.

Mai’s life has changed so much since the talk show started in 2013. She was married to someone else, got a divorce, met Jeezy, fell in love, got engaged, then married, and now is going to be a mom in the next few months.

She has grown a lot in eight years, and it is because of the women sitting alongside of her, like Loni Love, Garcelle Beauvais and Adrienne Houghton. It is also the things they have talked about through the years. She listened to what they had to say, and it helped her to get her to the point where she is OK with being a mom even though she was never expecting to have that as one of her titles.

Congrats to the newlyweds on expanding their family! I am sure Mama Mai can’t wait to babysit.

The Real women get real about penises
April 29th, 2021 under The Real. [ Comments: none ]

The hosts of The Real do not shy away from talking about sex. Therefore, Jeannie Mai, Loni Love, Adrienne Bailon, and Garcelle Beauvais had an open and honest discussion about what surprised them about having sex. However, the conversation quickly changed to be all about penises.

They discussed whether it is true about the motion in the ocean being more important than the size of the ship. That brought them to talking about growers and showers. Next up, they wanted to talk about curved penises. If it is curved in the right angle, it hits the spot, the G-spot. That is why Love declared to put a towel down. She is correct.

There is so much more they could have talked about, but this is a good start. Who else agrees about the thumb being the best indicator of what is hiding behind the zipper?
