NBC opted not to order more episodes of Magnum, P.I.
June 23rd, 2023 under NBC. [ Comments: none ]

NBC saved Magnum, P.I. after CBS cancelled it last year. And today, they did the same thing that CBS did to it, according to Deadline.

But, it is not all bad news. That is because the second part of the fifth season hasn’t aired yet. And the network plans on airing the final episodes in 2024.

Who knows, maybe someone will do an NBC to the reboot. But probably not.

American Auto is totaled at NBC
June 17th, 2023 under NBC. [ Comments: none ]

NBC has finally made a decision on the fate of their last bubble show, and American Auto’s future popped.

Since the show will not be back for another season, the show’s EP, Justin Spitzer, revealed what would’ve happened had it gotten one. He wrote, “Season 3 of #americanauto was going to show Katherine Hastings and Payne Motors finally finding success and taking the world by storm. I’m so sorry we didn’t get to make those episodes, but I’m immensely proud of the 23 episodes of the show we did put out there.”

Are you going to miss the sitcom?

Young Rock won’t become Old Rock on NBC
June 10th, 2023 under NBC, The Rock. [ Comments: none ]

The Rock got some bad news from NBC. They have opted to cancel Young Rock, so the sitcom about his preteen, teenager, 20-something, and future life will not be back for a fourth season.

DJ is not alone because NBC also gave Grand Crew some sobering news.

That means that Grand Auto is the show from last season to find out if they will be on the lineup next season.

NBC loves Night Court as much as we do
February 3rd, 2023 under NBC. [ Comments: none ]

NBC loves the Night Court sequel so much that they picked it up for a second season today.

Channing Dungey, Chairman and CEO, Warner Bros. Television Group, said: “The verdict is in and the ‘new-boot’ of ‘Night Court’ is a hit! The series’ razor-sharp humor makes the show a weekly must watch. We’re overjoyed that court will remain in session and return with new cases for season two. We’re so grateful to our colleagues at NBC, to the richly talented creative team led by Melissa Rauch, Winston Rauch, Dan Rubin and John Larroquette, and to the stellar ensemble cast.”

The news is not a surprise because it had the biggest comedy premiere since The Conners in 2018. And they haven’t lost viewers.

I can’t wait to see what they cook up Melissa Rauch, John Larroquette, India de Beaufort, Kapil Talwalkar and Lacretta next season. I just hope they focus a little more on the cases like the original did.
