An ’80s boy’s wet dream: Lydia Cornell and Kristy McNichol
October 23rd, 2018 under Kristy McNichol, Lydia Cornell, Wet dream. [ Comments: none ]

Back in 1980, Kristy McNichol was everyone’s little darling and boys wanted to see what was Too Close for Comfort for Lydia Cornell. At the time, their careers were going in different directions, and we never saw them together.

That was then, now 48 years later the long-time friends met up at the Hollywood Show and took this photo. They are just as beautiful now as they were then. They could still do a poster and their fans would hang it up on their walls. Which makes you wonder why some studio has not given them a project together.

An ’80s teen girl’s wet dream: Limahl, Martin Fry and Tony Hadley!
October 9th, 2018 under 80s, Limahl, Wet dream. [ Comments: none ]

Back in the ’80s, girls were in love with the lead singers of Kajagoogoo, ABC and Spandau Ballet, but never the three should meet. Thirty years later, Limahl (in sneakers), Martin Fry and Tony Hadley (in the flip-flops) got together this weekend to play a private show at the wedding of Dina & Thomas in West London.

I wonder what songs they did from their catalogs. I am thinking it was Limahl’s Never Ending Story, ABC’s The Look of Love and Spandau Ballet’s True. Three songs I would love to hear live from them. Especially since they all still look as good as they did when those tunes were climbing charts.

If you could have any living musician play your wedding, who would it be? I am going to have to sit on my choice, but I still want Air Supply’s Making Love Out of Nothing at All as my first song as a married couple.

An ’80s girl wet dream: Billy Idol and Boy George!
October 4th, 2018 under Billy Idol, Boy George, Wet dream. [ Comments: none ]

Back in the ’80s, Billy Idol and Boy George caused girls around the world to want a White Wedding with them. Although, one was a little bit punk and the other one was a little bit new wave. Two different types of music that were never meant to go together. Therefore, their fans were left dancing with themselves.

After all of these decades, the Crying Game is over because the two met up after a Culture Club concert. Making it Hot in the City. Maybe now that Time has passed they would consider doing a duet like Rebel Yell Karma Chameleon.

Imagine Boy George’s sweet voice with Idol’s rasp. It would make a lot of Mony Mony! So I say to both singers Do You Really Want to Hurt Me?

An ’80s teen girl’s wet dream: Rob Lowe and Robert Downey Jr.!
October 1st, 2018 under Brat Pack, Rob Lowe, Robert Downey Jr., Wet dream. [ Comments: none ]

Back in the ’80s, Rob Lowe and Robert Downey Jr. were part of the infamous Brat Pack, but yet the two of them never did a movie together. Can you like totally believe that? Finally, after 30 years, the two of them did something together. They took this photo at Gwyneth Paltrow’s wedding this weekend.

I know that John Hughes is no longer with us, but there has to be a way to do a movie with all the Brat Packers. Fifty Candles at the Brunch Club?

An ’80s teen girl’s wet dream!
August 22nd, 2018 under Billy Idol, Wet dream. [ Comments: none ]

Back in the ’80s, girls were saying Oh L’amour to Erasure and wanted to have a White Wedding with Billy Idol, but never the two should meet. Yesterday, when the duo was playing Wiltern in Los Angeles, the rocker was dancing with himself to their tunes.

Then when the show was over they posed for this photo. All I could think of is how cool would it be if Erasure worked their magic with one of his tunes like they did with Abba and he tried to do one of theirs. Heck, I would totally love to see them to a duet to Yahoo. But only because it is one of my all-time favorite songs.

Not only that, I would love to see them tour together. How awesome would that double bill be? I would go see it, but then again out of all of the concerts I have seen, Erasure has remained my favorite and I have never seen Billy Idol.
