Wes and Stella’s in trouble on Life Sentence, meet young Louis on Suits
April 4th, 2018 under Suits, The CW. [ Comments: none ]

Tonight at 9p on The CW, Wes and Stella have a new problem in their marriage, his ex. Will it end their Life Sentence together?

Wes (Elliot Knight) has been working nights and Stella (Lucy Hale) has been working days, so they are out of synch. She decides to plan a trip to Paris to get their love back on track, but a knock on their door changes everything. Pippa, his ex, has come to visit and she reveals a big secret about her breakup with Wes. One that will change their marriage forever. Could the news be so big that it will end their 6-month marriage?

Meanwhile, her dad (Dylan Walsh) is dealing with his new girlfriend, who has much more energy than him. His son, Aiden (Jayson Blair), has been keeping the secret that he and his dad’s girlfriend slept together a few months ago. When Aiden accidentally reveals that information to his mom (Gillian Vigman), he begs her to keep it quiet. She is so jealous of her husband’s new girlfriend, even though she has one of her own, she might not be able to keep it. How long will Aiden’s secret one?

I do not know why you are not watching this show because it is full of heart, it is hard not to heart it. Therefore, I implore you to check it out.

Also at 9p but over one USA. we see a young Louis and Harvey on the show for two different reasons on Suits.

Louis (Rick Hoffman) has regrets over sleeping with Shelia, who is about to marry another man, because he is not a bad boy. Something that has haunted him since he was teen. He will remember his teen years and we will see how it all started. As he looks into his past, it will change his future. What that means you will have to tune in to find out how.

Meanwhile, Jessica (Gina Torres) tells Harvey (Gabriel Macht) she needs $2 million dollars and she needs it now. There is only one person he can get the cash from and he will have to give up something very personal to him. Something from his past that he loves more than everyone in his life now. Is he ready to do it?

What made this episode different is we get to see a different side of our two leads. By looking into their past, we understand their present even more. After nearly 8 seasons, I like that Suits can still surprise us.

The CW’s Dynasty continues with 10 of their shows next season!
April 2nd, 2018 under The CW. [ Comments: 2 ]

The CW picked up 10 of their shows for next season and sadly iZombie is not one of them.

What made the list? All five DC shows Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash, Black Lightning and Arrow are flying into next season. Supernatural is turning the big 1-4. Riverdale finds its sugar, sugar with season 3. Jane the Virgin gives birth to its rumored last season while Crazy Ex Girlfriend keeps on singing songs no one else would dare sing about. The biggest surprise of them all is that Dynasty will also be back. The show that is one of the lowest-rated shows on television will miraculously back for more hijinx.

Besides these 10 shows, The CW added another night of television to their lineup in the fall. Therefore, that means at least two new shows will be joining the 2018-2019 lineup. I am rooting that they consider bringing sitcoms to their lineup. Maybe a Reba revival? The cast is up for it, so let’s make it a reality. That and iZombie!

UPDATE: Rachel Bloom revealed that next season will be Crazy Ex Girlfriend’s last season. She Tweeted, “Just turned on my wifi on our flight to Chicago and found out that #CrazyExGirlfriend has been renewed for a final season.” The cast is on tour promoting the music from the show. I am going to miss that music. My iPod (yes I am old school) loves to play the tunes from the series whenever I drive by the Catholic church near my house. I don’t know if it hates me or is trying to teach that place of worship a lesson? I am going with the latter.

Alexis joins Dynasty tonight, bitches!
March 30th, 2018 under Revivals-Reboots, The CW. [ Comments: none ]

It is the moment that Dynasty fans have been waiting for all season long, and tonight at 8p on The CW Nicolette Sheridan makes her debut as Alexis Carrington. I have to be honest, she is no Joan Collins. Nobody else could ever come close to her. Having said that, she does an impressive job. After all, she has very high stilettos to fill.

The episode starts off at Blake’s (Grant Show) father’s funeral and the family is getting reacquainted with her. Fallon (Elizabeth Gillies) has not seen her mother since Alexis took the divorce settlement money and left her two kids to be raised by their father. Therefore, this is not a happy reunion.

Now it is time for the whole family to go back to the house for the reading of the will and they are all shocked that Alexis got their house. Now, they will do everything in the power to stop from that happening.

It is going to be a fight. Well, actually there is a huge fight between mother and daughter that causes both women to get all wet. As in they fall into the pool and continue cat fighting it out until one is victorious. No one is going to dare go down there and break it up. Why would they, this is too good to stop! Meow.

Once they are dry, it is time for the bullets to fly. Literal bullets. What happens next is what we have all been waiting for since September.

Just like Collins saved the original show back in the ’80s, expect the same from Sheridan. After all, she went from being a desperate housewife to a desperate divorcee. What more do you need to check out this campy primetime soap?

The CW gives Life Sentence a death sentence
March 30th, 2018 under The CW. [ Comments: none ]

The CW announced today that they are changing up its schedule next month. Starting on April 18th, after the Riverdale musical episode, The 100 will take over Life Sentence’s Wednesday night 9p slot. Then on April 27th, a week after Jane the Virgin airs its season finale, Life Sentence will air the rest of its season out Fridays at 9p.

What makes this very significant is that they are both the lowest rated shows on broadcast TV. Both are fighting to be the first show to get The Blutarsky. That is where a show gets a 0.0 in the 18-49 demo. Both shows have been able to barely stay above the 0.1, but airing back to back might force both of them into The Blutarsky territory. Something I hope is not the case because I am one of those very few people who love both shows.

Why aren’t you watching the campy Dynasty and the heartwarming Life Sentence? They are too good to go down in flames.

Stella learns more about the clinical trial that gave her a Life Sentence
March 21st, 2018 under The CW. [ Comments: none ]

Tonight at 9p on The CW, Life Sentence gives us another reason to fall in love with this endearing show.

Stella visits her friend, Sadie (Nadej Bailey), a cancer patient who has her old room in the hospital. Sadie also has the same cancer as Stella had and the girl wants to be part of the same study. Stella tells her no problem, but turns out it is. Now she will do anything to get her in it. After several obstacles, she finds out why it is going to impossible but not improbable. You will want to see why.

Talking about love, Aidan (Jayson Blair) is going to help his father (Dylan Walsh) get some. They go to a bar, and Paul is really bad at picking up a woman. Will he finally get a woman to go home with him?

Meanwhile, his ex-wife, helps out Stella’s husband take care of his niece and nephew. When they get sick, Ida (Gillian Vigman) goes full on over protective grandma. Will Wes (Gillian Vigman) be able to calm her down or will he go crazy with her?

Each week, Life Sentence proves that families stick together no matter what. And there are a lot of whats with this family. It is those whats that keep us tuning in for more. Well that and it is hard not love this show that proves there is life after beating cancer even for the ones who did not have it.
