How cute Warner Bros thinks Wonder Woman: 1984 will only be in theaters
August 22nd, 2020 under DC Comics. [ Comments: none ]

Warner Bros released another trailer for Wonder Woman: 1984 today. At the end of it, they say “only in theaters.” Let’s be honest, there is no way most of the country will have movie theaters open by then. Heck, I would be surprised if they are open by the end of the year.

Therefore, I don’t understand why they just don’t do what Disney did with Mulan, and make it available on their streaming service for $30. Yes, it would be better to see on the big screen, but America is not even close to ready for that to happen. Little girls need their superhero, especially now, so give it to them. You can release the third one in theaters.

When it comes to the trailer, I found the first movie boring. Thus, I have no interest in seeing this one.

Gal Gadot puts Wonder Woman on her lips
July 22nd, 2020 under DC Comics, Gal Gadot. [ Comments: none ]

I don’t know about you, but Wonder Woman: 1984 is everywhere these days but in the movie theaters. Too soon?

Anyways, the latest company they teamed up with to promote the movie is Revlon. Today, Gal Gadot showed off one of the many colors of lipstick the makeup company launched, and every superheroine is going to want to wear it. That is if we weren’t wearing masks over our mouths all the time. I miss lipstick, especially colors like the one she is wearing.

Doom Patrol is back for a smaller but bigger second season
June 25th, 2020 under Brendan Fraser, DC Comics, Matt Bomer. [ Comments: none ]

Doom Patrol is back today with its second season on HBO Max and DC Universe to see if it can top its first super season. When we last left off, our not-your-ordinary superheroes were shrunk down to doll size, and they have not grown an inch since then.

They obviously want to get bigger again, but The Cheif (Timothy Dalton) has not figured out a way to do it. He knows someone who can possibly help him, but that help will come at a huge cost. How far are they willing to go to be normal-sized again?

That is just one of their many problems. The Cheif’s daughter, Dorothy (Abigail Shapiro), is now living with them, and she has a lot of issues. The biggest one is that she will never grow up. Although some might say, it is probably all of the evil things living inside of her. When they come out, everyone should be afraid.

The Cheif wants Rita Farr (April Bowlby), Jane (Diane Guerrero), and Cliff Steel (Brendan Fraser) to get along with her. However, they are focused on themselves and getting bigger again.

Rita is not as stretchy as she used to be, and she needs to get her power back. Jane is losing her battle with her demons. While Cliff is dealing with his daughter, who thought he was dead for her whole life. How will she handle that he is alive and living robot?

Vic (Joivan Wade) and Larry Trainor (Matt Bomer) are still normal-sized and they are working on themselves. Vic is getting help from a therapy group, and he makes a new friend. While Larry is met with faces from his past. Will they accept him as he now?

The first three episodes that are streaming today are catching us up with what they have been through since they saved the world. But it is also catching us up on who they were before we got to know them. They have a lot of issues, and being tiny superheroes doesn’t help.

Especially since one of them is paying the ultimate price for them. But I have said too much…

What I can say is that Doom Patrol is anything but doomed. It is the best comic book show on television because it is unlike all of the others. The best way to put it is that there is sex, drugs, and Disco! Who doesn’t love that combo?

If you want to watch something original and fun, then check out Doom Patrol! It is everything you want and so much more.

What do you think of Doom Patrol’s newest member?
June 10th, 2020 under Brendan Fraser, DC Comics, HBO Max, Matt Bomer. [ Comments: none ]

We are just 15 days away from the season two premiere of Doom Patrol on HBO Max. Today, the streaming service released the first look at the DC Universe show that is unlike all of the other ones. It is nice to see that nothing has changed for bumbling superheroes. That is why we love them and the things they do.

What can we expect from the new season? Cliff Steele aka Robotman (Brendan Fraser), Larry Trainor aka Negative Man (Matt Bomer), Rita Farr aka Elasti-Woman (April Bowlby), Jane aka Crazy Jane (Diane Guerrero), and Victor Stone aka Cyborg (Joivan Wade) — are back again to save the world. That is, if they can find a way to grow up…both figuratively and literally. Following the defeat of Mr. Nobody, the members of the Doom Patrol now find themselves mini-sized and stranded on Cliff’s toy race car track. Here they begin to deal with their feelings of betrayal by Niles Caulder aka The Chief (Timothy Dalton), while confronting their own personal baggage. And as each member faces the challenge of growing beyond their own past traumatic experiences, they must come together to embrace and protect the newest member of the family: Dorothy Spinner (Abigail Shapiro), Niles’ daughter, whose powers remain a mysterious but real threat to bringing on the end of the world.

If you have been on the fence on whether or not to subscribe to HBO Max, this show will make it easy for you to decide to do it. Doom Patrol is not my normal genre, but it is unlike all of the other ones. It is so ingenious and funny that you cannot help but root for them, even though they are massive screw ups. Not only that, but this is also a superhero show you cannot watch with the kids because there is sex and cursing. See we can have nice things.

How Batwoman will handle Ruby Rose’s departure
June 3rd, 2020 under DC Comics, The CW. [ Comments: none ]

The DC Universe was recently shocked when it was announced that Ruby Rose would not be returning as Batwoman. What is The CW going to do for season two?

According to Decider, they are recasting Batwoman, but not Katy Kane. Instead, they are looking for a woman in her mid-20’s to play Ryan Wilder. The character is described as, “She’s likable, messy, a little goofy and untamed. She’s also nothing like Kate Kane, the woman who wore the batsuit before her.”

How they get rid of Kane, that we will find out in 2021. What do you think of their solution?
