The Michael J Fox Show is cancelled
February 5th, 2014 under Michael J Fox, NBC. [ Comments: none ]

Last week NBC stopped production on Sean Saves the World and today they pulled The Michael J Fox Show from their Thursday lineup after the Olympics according to Vulture. Sean Hayes’ sitcom will be replaced by the game show he produces, Hollywood Game Night, starting on February 27th.
When it comes to HGN, I wonder if this is NBC’s way of testing out how a non-sitcom will do on Thursday nights. And if it does well, hopefully they will renew it for the fall. Which would make me very happy because I absolutely love this show.
When it comes to the unaired episodes of Sean and Fox, NBC does not have an airdate for them but does plan on airing them at some point.

Michael J Fox’s Parkinson’s diagnosis is a Fun Fact to E!?
January 13th, 2014 under E!, Michael J Fox. [ Comments: none ]

We all know that E!’s red carpet coverage is always a red hot mess and yesterday they made a big mess with some information they put up in a graphic. They had a Fun Fact chyron that read, “Michael J. Fox was diagnosis with Parkinson’s Disease in 1991.” That is a fact, yes. But it is far from being a fun fact and people were pissed by their mistake. Including me.
Viewers were so upset that E! issued this statement, “We regret the insensitive classification of Michael J Fox’s Parkinson’s diagnosis during our Eonline live stream. We understand the serious nature of the disease and sincerely apologize.” Too little, too late.
If they want to make amends, then they can cancel Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Then maybe I will start to forgive them.

Who knew Back to the Future made so mistakes?
November 18th, 2013 under Michael J Fox, Movies. [ Comments: none ]

Cinema Sins evaluated the movie Back to the Future and found out that it made a lot of mistakes. Even though I saw the movie a ton of times, I was never able to find 5 of those errors, let alone 55. How many had you known about?

The Michael J Fox Show reminds NBC what Thursdays are all about for them
September 26th, 2013 under Michael J Fox, NBC. [ Comments: none ]

Michael J Fox is returning to TV in a self-title show tonight at 9p on NBC and it is nice to have him back!
Mike Henry (Fox) is a former newsanchor in NYC, who gave up his job 5 years ago to spend time with his family. Now his wife, Annie (Betsy Brandt) and their kids recent college dropout, Ian (Conor Romero), angst-ridden high schooler, Eve (Juliette Goglia), and cute little Graham (Jack Gore) all want him to go back to work. So they come up with a way to have him meet up with his old boss, Harris Green (Wendell Pierce), who would love to have him back on KNBC’s air. Mike didn’t realize until their meeting that he missed working, so when given the chance to go back to work he takes him up on the offer.
So now Mike is dealing with how to spend time with his family while he works. And they learn to deal with him back at the grind.
NBC wants to make sure this show does well, so they are giving it a special one-hour premiere, the second episode airs at 9:30p (its regularly scheduled time). During this episode, Mike goes upstairs to his neighbor’s to tell them to turn the really loud television down. He assumes that it is an older man, but is surprised when it turns out to be Tracy Pollan who is on the other side of the door. No he develops a crush on her and his wife is jealous. So Annie decides to set her up with Harris, something Mike doesn’t like.
Now Mike might not like that, but we will love this show that is shot documentary style with candid confidential moments between the family members with the camera throughout the show. This is the perfect show to bring Michael J Fox back to television, so tune into watch it every Thursday from here on out at 9:30p

Michael J Fox and his mini-me who isn’t so mini!
November 14th, 2011 under 80s, Michael J Fox. [ Comments: none ]

Michael J Fox brought his family out for the A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To Cure Parkinson’s event and I can’t get over how much his son Sam looks like his pops. Seriously it is like going Back to the Future and seeing the 22 year as his dad in Family Ties, the show that introduce his father to his mother!
Not only is their son a chip off the old block, how beautiful are their 16 year old twins Aquinnah and Schuyler?
