Nilanshi Patel has had the longest hair on a teenager in the Guinness World Records since 2018, but that is no longer the case. That is because the 18-year-old got her first haircut in 12 years.
And what a haircut it was. They cut off nearly 6’6″ that weighed 9.4 ounces.
What is going to happen to her locks? They will be displayed at Ripley’s Believe it or Not Hollywood before moving to its permanent residence at Guinness World Records Museum, also in Hollywood.
How does the girl, who called herself Rapunzel, feel about her new look? “OMG! It’s beautiful! It’s amazing,” she said. “I’m like a little princess!” And she looks like one too with her hairdo.
There are so many crazy Guinness World Records that I don’t know why I still get surprised by some of them. For example, there was a barber who collected 167 pounds of hair via five years of haircuts and turned it into a hair ball. Even my cat never barfed up anything that gross. It is so gross, that it looks like the poo emoji.
Back to Henry Coffer, from Charleston, Missouri. Before he passed away in 2014, he sold his ball of hair to Ripley’s.
The 167 pounds of hair was just a fraction of what he collected over his 50 years of cutting hair. He said that he probably saved about 2,600 pounds of it and used it as fertilizer and for patching potholes.
Who knew that discarded hair had so many uses? The more you know. The more you wish you didn’t.

Remember how William Tell would shoot apples off of someone’s head with an arrow? Well, that is child’s play as compared to what Wang Lei did in December. In one minute, he used a chainsaw to cut 21 apples in half while they were Wang Xinli’s mouth.
Now, he holds the title in the Guiness Book of World Records for doing it. Believe it or not, he is not the first person to attempt it. Two other people held the title before him.
You know, it is no skin off of the slicer’s nose to do this, but it could be a lot of skin off of the holder’s nose. You know, like the whole nose. I don’t get why someone would be like sure, I will let you use a chainsaw to cut an apple out of my mouth. I can’t think of anyone I would trust to do that. Would you be their dummy?
Last year, Keito Kawahara going into the Guinness Book of World Records for Longest Hair on a Teenager, and a year later she cut herself out of the record book (even though she lost the title to another teen). As in the 18-year-old got her first ever haircut on April 2nd. Gone is her ankle length hair that measured just over 5’1″ long and now it is just past her shoulders. Her long locks were not wasted, she donated them to a charity that makes wigs for kids who cannot grow hair.
Why did she decide to cut it now? She wanted a new look before she started university. Now, she is ready to try all the hairstyles she never got to try including perms and dying her hair.
Hugh Jackman and Sir Patrick Stewart are in the Guniess Book of World Records now and they are listed for the same thing. Are they in it for breaking the longest time tied to someone without breaking loose? Nope, but I like that.
They both have the longest career as a live-action Marvel superhero. How long have they been playing Wolverine and Professor X? They have been doing it for 16 years 228 days. Both actors started playing their characters in X-Men and ended it with Logan.
You know Jackman can end the tie if he would just agree to Deadpool vs Wolverine. Is it tempting him yet? I don’t think so because he has set his sites on breaking the longest marathon playing badminton, singles, record. He only has to do that for 25 hours, I think that is possible for Stewart!
