The Capones is as exciting as the St Valentine’s Day Massacre!
January 28th, 2014 under Reelz. [ Comments: none ]

We all know who Al Capone was, and tonight at 10p on Reelz you will get to know his family via your new favorite reality show, The Capones.
The Capones are involved with a family business, just not that family business. Instead of being part of the mafia, they are now serving them pizza. Dom, is the owner and he runs the place in a way that Al would be pleased. His mom, Dawn, helps out and Dom will do anything she wants. Except break up with his girlfriend Staci, who she hates. The feeling is mutual when it comes to how she feels about his mom. He’s trying to keep the peace, but let’s be real that ain’t gonna happen.
Besides having problems with those women in his life, his good friend, Madeline, needs to be picked up, again, from jail. His mom loves her, but the second she is back in the restaurant Dawn puts straight her to work. Which doesn’t last long because within minutes Madeline is taking a sun break.
Then there is Uncle Lou, and he is all kinds of awesome (see below). Once you see him, forgetaboutit you will be love. No one messes with him and he is still as tough as ever even though he isn’t as young as he used to be. During one scene tonight, he is being chauffeured around by Jeff and he rear ends a car. Instead of getting out, Jeff locks the doors and drives away. Lou was like, I would’ve handled it, but the chicken locked the doors.
That is just one of the many epic and fun scenes during tonight’s season premiere. I have watched a lot of reality shows about families and The Capones is my favorite by far. Not because I am afraid of them, but because it is such a riot.
Al Capone would be proud of them all.
So tune into the show tonight and every Wednesday at 10p to watch The Capones. And don’t forget to check out Hollywood Hillbillies at 9p on Reelz.

Hollywood Hillbillies take over Hollywood and our TVs tonight!
January 21st, 2014 under Reelz. [ Comments: none ]

Hollywood Hillbillies makes its wacky debut on REELZ tonight at 9p and it is funniest show to air on TV since Beverly Hillbillies. But unlike the ’60s sitcom this one is a reality show!
Remember Michael “The Angry Ginger” who became a huge YouTube sensation and was featured on South Park and Tosh.O? Well he got a manager in Hollywood who set him up with a house and reality show as he tries to break it here as an actor and a rapper. Since he is under 21, his outspoken Mema won’t let him travel alone so she comes too and brings along her daughter, Dee Dee, and her boyfriend, John.
These four family members from rural Georgia are nothing like the people in LA and LA is not ready for the likes of them. But somehow they will make it work in their own special way and Hollywood will never be the same.
Hollywood Hillbillies is a show about a family sticking together as they enter uncharted territory. They are a real family, realer than most of the families you see on TV and because of that you are going to love them! If you adore Honey Boo Boo and her family then you are going to love Mema and hers. We can learn something from them! Like always remember to put in your teeth when you are on TV. And you can be best friends with the woman who was also married to your jerky late husband.
So tune in tonight and every Wednesday to watch the Hollywood Hillbillies as they quickly become your favorite family on TV.

Reelz finds Steven Seagal: Lawman’s lost season!
January 2nd, 2014 under Reelz. [ Comments: none ]

The third season of Steven Seagal: Lawman was too hot for television until tonight. That is because Reelz is going to air the unseen episode starting tonight at 10p.
We all know Steven Seagal is an actor and a trained martial artist, but did you know he has also been a cop for 20 years too? This season he suits up for America’s Toughest Sheriff, Joe Arpaio the six-term Sheriff from Maricopa County, Arizona, and it is not going to be easy. Each week he will learn from the team of cops he is working with and they will learn from him. In one episode he will teach them how to act, a talent they will actually need to know when trying to get a suspect to come out of their house. In another episode, they bring in tanks to get their man. But the one that blew me away was when they work with the animal division to bust someone who has been training roosters for cock fighting. You will go behind the scenes and see what happens to the animals after they are rescued and find out what happens before the police intervene. It is more horrible than you think.
On tonight’s season premiere at 10p, the team try to bust a drug dealer by selling him some of the pot that they have in house that has been confiscated, and as they are making the deal the criminals steal the truck with the drugs. Now the team has to find the stolen truck and drugs before it is too late. Seagal will explain to you the process of how they are going to find their guys and it is really interesting.
Then at 10:30p, the team is ready to find and arrest the suspect who ran over and dragged fellow deputy, and then fled the scene. The officer survived and shares his story with them, and once they hear it they are more determined to bust this guy. Watch what they will do to get their man and what happens when they do catch up with him.
I am not really a fan of Steven Seagal and cops shows, but I love Steven Seagal: Lawman. I think it is more interesting because you get Seagal’s point of view of what is going down and you know him from his movies. But what I also appreciate is the way it is shot, it is more like you are watching a show than someone’s dash cam. If that makes sense.
So if you really want to see how hard it is to be a cop, then tune in for Steven Seagal’s Lawman tonight and every Thursday at 10p for an interesting perspective on one of the toughest jobs in the world.

Beverly Hills Pawn classes up the industry!
November 6th, 2013 under Reelz. [ Comments: none ]

Beverly Hills Pawn is back on Reelz Channel tonight at 9p and they have some one-of-a-kind must-have items being brought in to Dina Collections that you don’t want to miss.
In the first episode Yossi is offered a spacesuit that was worn in Aliens, a jacket worn by Burt Reynolds in Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, an engagement ring that was once worn by Britney Spears and 2 pieces of gold that Salvador Dali artwork on it. One of those customers will ask for a million dollars for their item, will they get it?
Then at 9:30p Yossi is offered a gorgeous necklace made for a dog, the motorcycle that Peter Fonda used in Easy Rider, the only surviving copy of The Beatles last movie Let It Be and the cuffs Wonder Woman wore during the first season of the ’70s superhero show. One person will ask for $3 millions dollars for their item, do you think you know and will they get it?
While it is fun to watch the bargaining, I enjoy watching seeing all of these Hollywood artifacts and finding out how much they are worth. They are too rich for my blood, but they are the perfect price for my eyes to witness.
So tune in tonight and every Wednesday at 9p to see what other dream items are featured on Beverly Hills Pawn.

JFK: The Smoking Gun answers questions, but leaves you asking more!
November 3rd, 2013 under Reelz. [ Comments: none ]

Tonight at 8p Reelz looks into JFK: The Smoking Gun and you don’t want to miss this documentary that keeps your interest from beginning until the end.
If you are like me and interested in all the conspiracy theories about John F Kennedy’s assassination, then you are going to love this 2 hour special that covers several of the theories. It proves a few of them false and makes you question some of the things we know.
Veteran police detective Colin McLaren looks into the finding of Howard Donahue’s book Mortal Error and reveals several truths and untruths.
In the docudrama they answer whether or not a single bullet could’ve shot both JFK and Governor Connally at the same time. But that is one of the easier things they prove to have happened.
They also look into who might’ve fired the fatal shot and they say that it was not Lee Harvey Oswald. They theorize that one of the secret service accidentally fired that fateful shot that was heard around the world. Once it becomes evident to then that George Hickey was the accidental shooter, they say that is where the coverup begins.
Now they will look into the Warren Commission and reveal evidence that was suppressed during the hearings.
So by the end of the episode, you will find yourself asking did Lee Harvey Oswald really kill JFK? I am not so sure anymore?
