This parrot can whistle The Addams Family theme!!!
July 13th, 2016 under 60s. [ Comments: none ]

Want to know what really makes a really good theme song? Not only if you can still sing the song 50 years after the show ended. What makes a truly memorable theme song is if a parrot can whistle it.
Oumutdeyil‘s parrot cannot only whistle the song, it also figured a way to make the snapping sound when needed. Lurch would give this Polly two pulls on the bell! In fact, John Astin would be so proud of that bird. And hopefully if he were to meet the whistling songster, he wouldn’t do a Gomez and eat it. That seems like something the patriarch of the family would do.
Seriously, doesn’t this bring as a huge smile to your face? Kind of like watching The Addams Family all over again.

Could Mad Men’s Joan Harris survive in a modern day office?
August 8th, 2014 under 60s. [ Comments: none ]

We all know that Joan Harris was able to survive working in an office back in the early ’60s, but how would she do in the year 2014? FunnyOrDie answered that question for a good cause. Equal pay for women who make up 70% of the job force. Til that happens, we are trapped in the workplace of 50 years ago. Except for the martini lunches, today is a much better place. So makes it that way for both sexes.

Tabitha, Beaver and Geri all got together at The Birds lady’s house
October 20th, 2013 under 60s. [ Comments: none ]

Bewitched’s Erin Murphy Tweeted this photo of her with Leave It to Beaver’s Jerry Mathers and The Facts of Life’s Geri Jewell visiting The Birds’ Tippi Hedren’s Shambala Preserve, and it brings me all types of happiness. Don’t you just love that these television stars are all friends! The trio were part of three of television’s biggest sitcoms and yet none of them aired at the same time. Granted all of them are airing now in syndication. Proving just like their shows the friendship they have will live on forever.

I Dream of Bewitched!
September 13th, 2013 under 60s. [ Comments: none ]

Ever since the late 60’s we have been enjoying two shows, one about a Jeannie and another one about a Witch, and yet the two have never met. That was until last weekend when I Dream of Jeannie’s Jeannie and Bewitched’s Tabitha met up at the Hollywood Show in Chicago.
How awesome is it see Barbara Eden with Erin Murphy, maybe TV Land can give them a sitcom together?
BTW I don’t know what magic the two women learned on the set of their sitcoms, but whatever it was has kept them looking much younger than they really are. Seriously can you believe that Eden is 82 years young and Murphy is 49 because neither one of them looks it.
