I say a little prayer for Julia Roberts’ career retrospective!
October 5th, 2017 under James Corden, Julia Roberts. [ Comments: 2 ]

Julia Roberts was on The Late Late Show yesterday and James Corden acted out her very long acting resume with her. From her first big screen film Mystic Pizza all the way to her latest one Wonder and several of the ones inbetween including Erin Brovokovich that earned her an Oscar.

I did not realize how many movies she did until now and how much better they were during the last century than this one. Steel Magnolias, Pretty Woman, Notting Hill and My Best Friend’s Wedding truly are classics you can watch over and over again. Even though she cannot act them out now as well as she did then, but at least she was having a lot of fun. Because of that we had fun watching it.

BTW Can you believe she is going to turn 50 in 23 days?

People names Julia Roberts World’s Most Beautiful Woman of 2017
April 19th, 2017 under Julia Roberts. [ Comments: none ]

Hey People Magazine, 1997 called and they want their World’s Most Beautiful Woman back because the title certainly doesn’t belong to her in 2017. What are they thinking by giving her the title over Megan Fox, Gal Gadot, Zoe Saldana or Daisy Rider to name a very few much more beautiful women.

I just don’t get it, do you? If you do, can you tell me why?

I guess on a positive note at least they didn’t go with Jennifer Aniston or Gwyneth Paltrow, but she is a close third.

Did Susan Sarandon and Julia Roberts really have a feud on Stepmom?
April 3rd, 2017 under Julia Roberts, Susan Sarandon. [ Comments: none ]

Susan Sarandon is starring in Feud about the legendary feud between Bette Davis and Joan Crawford, but almost 20 years ago there were rumors she was involved in one with her costar.

In 1998, she starred in Stepmom with Julia Roberts and there were rumors that not only did their characters get along, but that they didn’t get along either. Yesterday, Sarandon took to Twitter to clear things up. She said, “Press printed that Julia & I hated each other during Stepmom. Found out it was my PR person creating rumors. #FeudFX.” I guess you can’t believe everything you read, and she had a really good publicist.

Pretty Woman actually had an ugly ending
March 6th, 2017 under Julia Roberts. [ Comments: none ]

We fell in love with Pretty Woman because the whore found her rich Prince Charming, but that is not how it originally ended.

About a year ago, Diane Lane, who auditioned for the lead role, told James Corden on The Late Late Show that the original ending was with Gere throwing Roberts out of the car like she was trash. That was one version of the not so fairy tale ending.

Last week, David Katzenberg, who ran Disney at the time, shared a much different ending at a Q&A. According to Page Six, he revealed this ending, “As a script, ‘Pretty Woman’ was an R-rated movie about a hooker on Hollywood Boulevard.” Then he added, “By the way, in the original version — it’s pretty dark — I think she died of an overdose. So convincing [people] that we should make that at the Walt Disney Co., and that it’s a fairy tale and a princess movie, a lot of people had a hard time seeing it. But, as they say, the rest is history.”

Is it wrong that I want a movie studio to make the original version? As sweet and as RomCom the original one was, I want to see the darker version. Bella Thorne could play the Lady of Night with Jon Hamm as her John, and they could get Oscar noms for their work in Not So Pretty Woman. It wouldn’t be a hit like the original one, but you wouldn’t need a bottle of wine to go with all of that cheesiness.

Which ending of Pretty Woman do you like the best?
