Drew Carey addresses the The Price is Right rumors
July 12th, 2007 under The Price is Right. [ Comments: none ]

While Drew Carey was promoting his new game show on CBS Power of 10, he answered some questions about an old show on the network. Here is what he told Marilyn Beck and Stacy Jenel Smith about The Price Is Right:

"There are all kinds of rumors all over the Internet, because rumors are all people have to report with," he observes. "I love how these things get going. A friend of mine and I were talking about how Rosie O'Donnell was made into a possible host for 'The Price Is Right.' You know, someone asks Bob Barker backstage at the Daytime Emmys, 'What would you think of Rosie O'Donnell taking your place?' And just to be polite, he goes, 'Yeah, sure. Why not?' So then she's taking general meetings all around town, thinking about what's coming up for her after 'The View,' and someone says, 'What about 'The Price Is Right'? It's all over the Internet that Bob Barker wants you to take his place.' And she says, 'Yeah, sure. Why not? I'm meeting with CBS Thursday.' And it all started from this stupid question someone asked Bob Barker."

OK, Drew, but how about your hosting "The Price is Right"? "Yeah, sure. Why not?" he replies, laughing. "It would be fun to do, I think. If something happens, yeah."

I really hope he is offered the job as the host of the show because I think he would be fantastic in the role.

The price was never right for Rosie O’Donnell
June 26th, 2007 under The Price is Right. [ Comments: none ]

So Rosie did a vblog saying that she was turning down the hosting job of The Price is Right because she didn't want to up root her family to LA. Well I am hearing she was never offered the position from a really good source. In fact a weeks ago they offered the job to someone else, and it was not Rosie O'Donnell as she would like us to believe. And for her to say she doesn't want to move her family to LA, when she was willing to move them if FX would have picked up her Nip/Tuck spin-off of Dawn Budge. Is she so worried that people will think she is less desirable if she gets turned down for a job? So if Rosie lied about this, what else she lying about?

The Price is Right for Drew Carey?
June 20th, 2007 under The Price is Right. [ Comments: none ]

Variety is reporting the latest rumor on who might fill Bob Barker's big shoes at The Price Is Right and they are saying it is Drew Carey? I have blogged before that if I could choose anyone to get the show it would be Drew Carey, which makes me wonder if CBS has been reading my blog. Just joking! But I really hope he gets it because if anyone could do it he could. He has comedic timing, hosting experience and he is humble unlike some of the other candidates that have been named, so let's hope he gets it! And that Rosie O'Donnell doesn't put a hit on him!
BTW CBS and Freemantle are remaining silent on all rumors.

Do you think Ian Ziering should host The Price Is Right?
June 9th, 2007 under Dancing with the Stars, The Price is Right. [ Comments: 1 ]

Ian Ziering fresh off of Dancing with the Stars 4 wants to host The Price Is Right and he is asking if you think he should do it? After watching him on DWTS, I am not sure if he would be the best choice but he is better then the current front runners. I liked him on the show, but he was just a tad bit stiff. My personal choice would be Drew Carey, who is yours?

What is The Price is Right for Bob Barker’s mic?
June 7th, 2007 under The Price is Right. [ Comments: none ]

Bob Barker is auctioning one of the mics he used on The Price is Right on eBay. As of 12:16p pst the bids were up to $7,000 and all the proceeds for mic will go to United Activists for Animal Rights.
Barker might have the mic on sale a little to early because he might need it back. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight he told them that he would stay if they don't find a host by the deadline. Let's hope they don't find a host because I would love to have him back hosting the show!!!
