Abe Vigoda is still alive!
May 19th, 2014 under Old Hollywood. [ Comments: none ]

In case you were wondering if Abe Vigoda is still alive, the answer is yes! Jamie Kennedy Tweeted this picture of the 93 year old actor with Cloris Leachman, 88, from Chiller Theater and both of them look fabulous. Can you believe if you combine Fish and Phyllis’ ages, it equals 181! They don’t look a day over 180 together!
Seriously though, seeing the two legends like that makes me wish that TV Land would give them a sitcom. And since Kennedy shared this photo, he can play their crazy grandson that just moved in with them and they can’t get rid of. Doesn’t that sound like a winner?

Three legends in one picture!

Mel Brooks shared this photo of Dick Van Patten, Mickey Rooney and himself from a week ago to remember his friend and I just had to share it with you. While it is sad to see Rooney just a day after he passed, it is nice to see him so happy with two old friends. I bet they had a lot of fun together!

Jane Seymour’s bikini body is that of a medicine woman!
January 2nd, 2014 under Old Hollywood. [ Comments: none ]

Jane Seymour is a 62 year old mom of 4 kids including twins and yet she has the body of someone at least half her age. She put on a bikini for Closer magazine and revealed that she eats what she wants and only exercises 3 times a week to obtain that figure. Granted that eating is modifying how much of it she puts in her mouth. Whatever she is doing is totally working for her. I hope to have that body shape when I am 62!

Ronan Farrow responds to Frank Sinatra ‘possibly’ being his dad!
October 2nd, 2013 under Old Hollywood. [ Comments: 1 ]

When Vanity Fair asked Mia Farrow if the son she had, when she was with Woody Allen, could be Frank Sinatra’s, she quite simply responded by saying “possibly.” So today that son, Ronan, responded to that claim on Twitter in a way that proves he is more like the crooner’s child as compared to the nebishy writer/director’s first born. Well that and the windows to his soul look a lot of Old Blue Eyes to me. Seriously looking at his avatar, he reminds me of the Rat Packer when he was a young man winning every woman’s heart.
Who do you think his daddy is, Sinatra or Allen?

Rob Petrie sings Happy 90th Birthday to Sally Rogers!
August 15th, 2013 under Old Hollywood. [ Comments: none ]

Rose Marie turned 90 years young today and her co-star Dick Van Dyke was there to help her blow out the candles at her birthday party over the weekend. Even though their show started airing over 50 years ago, it is so great to see them together again and at such a joyous event. It’s kind of like whenever you find a rerun of The Dick Van Dyke on television. That sitcom always brings a smile to my face, just like this video did.
Too bad Mary and Buddy (Morey Amsterdam passed away in 1996) couldn’t be there.
